Recently I have taken up sculpting yet another completely pointless thing for the sake of something to do.
I give you, Squiggy;

I like where this is going~

Going to sculpt the teeth and claws or going to use something else which is sharp already?

I actually think that looks really good. What kind of tools are you using to sculpt it with?

I have some plastic rod shaped for the teeth and claws. I also have better quality pictures.. *Updates first post when done here*

I'm sorry Kaori T^T

Darkelf, pretty much just my GW sculpting tool lol. The spine was done pretty easily with a small bit of plasticard, I filed a triangle into it and angled it inwards to provide a nice angle to each ridge.

That's really, really good. How do you handle the thing while making it so that it doesn't get distorted by your fingertips?
PostPosted: Wed Jun 24, 2009 4:48 pm
That's what the cork's for lol.

I do it section by section, only doing the next part of the face when the last is solid.
Like the eyes, done in 3 different parts so far to make sure I had a decent thing to work against.

And now it isn't even done and I am sorely tempted to sculpt a Krootox D:

Very nice...

In its current state, it looks very frog-ish.

It could go with a bigger mouth and smaller eyes, seeing as Squigs are more mouth and teeth than anything else! sweatdrop

Ahh...
Itsa squig!
I agree, just make it less "frogish" and it'll be great!
Have to say, that is VERY good sculpting too!

What is so bad with it being frog-ish? Is that how we encourage people to make their own unique squigs? >:

Keep it as it is, just hurry up and finish the sharp bitz! wink
