Kuri's Advice:
All the tablets I've used so far have been
Wacom.
In my opinion (and many others) Wacom is definitely the way to go for an artist.
If you're just trying out tablets to see how they work then you could go for a cheaper brand.. though I don't know any xD
If you're more serious about using one and want a
good one then get a Wacom, definitely.
There are 4 different 'flavors' of Wacom tablets:Bamboo - for starters//low-end |
Price Range: $79-$129 (USD)Intous - what most professionals use//diff. sizes |
Price Range: $229+Cintiq - built-in screen//first-class |
Price Range: $999-$1999Graphire - between bamboo and intous//wireless |
Price Range: around $249Of course, you could probably get better deals on amazon or ebay or whatever. We bought two on amazon, a bamboo and intous, for $60 and $300 (medium-size intous.) So just browse around on those kind of sites or check out a large computer gear store (though tablets aren't usually sold in stores unless it's a large store.)
Hope that helped! 8D
