Your weight should fluctuate by 1-3 kilos (about 2-6 pounds) the day before you begin menstruating and for two to three days afterward.
However, you ALSO ate salty, fatty, starchy, junky foods. Remember that what you drink shows up on the scale immediately, but what you eat shows up on the scale in 2-4 days. Therefore, if you ate those junky foods on a Sunday when you weighed 145 pounds, then started menstruating on Wednesday or so, your period could cause a 3-4 pound weight gain all by itself, and by Thursday the junk food would also be contributing to the gain.
Your weight should be normal again once you stop menstruating ("normal" meaning no more water-weight from the bloating), but you'll still have to exercise for 2-3 weeks to drop the weight from the junk food you ate.
