Hey guys! I'm pretty new here, but I decided to just jump headlong into this whole thing. So, I don't yet have any models, but I'm planning on buying several different armies when I get around to it. One of these armies will be the Elysian Drop Troopers, as they are total ******** badasses, and as such I have taken the precaution of posting this thread to implore you veteran painters and modelers out there for advice on how to do tribute to their inimitable badassery. Any tips on painting, and modeling these guys?
Also on the list:
Raptors, Space Marine Army Thousand Sons, Chaos Space Marine Army Death Korps of Krieg, Imp. Guard Army Armageddon Steel Legion, Imp. Guard Army Vostroyan Firstborn, Imp. Guard Army Bork' an, Tau Army Farsight Enclave, Tau Army
Any advice for painting and modeling these armies will also be greatly appreciated.

Well considering That wouldnt be an actual army what so ever, more like just models.... I suggest you settle down and pick one army. Work on that then worry about getting other models to paint. Other wise your just wasting your money. That is, if you want to play.

Paint your models anyway you like them.
Collecting armies is not as easy making a big list of them and saying you'll be collecting them. Especially in regards to Forge World components.
Anyway, my own Elysians have Khemri brown uniforms with Adeptus Battlegrey armour, blood red veteran stripes as per IA3 and black / boltgun metal equipment. Simple and effective.

Especially in regards to Forge World components. dont forget price. ive wanted to pick up some IG, and Eldar for a while, but i wanna complete at least one of my 2 armies already started first (by complete i mean about 1500 points) but cost has been stunting that

I guess I could have worded thing s alittle better. I don't really plan on playing. At all. I'm mostly in it to become an Uber fluff buff, and to paint and model. D: Are Vostroyans priced the smae as normal IG sets?

D: Are Vostroyans priced the smae as normal IG sets? I'd suggest checking this site for your price needs. If you want to discuss purchases and the such you shouldn't be having such talk in the painting thread. Mango McCrazy Isn't the proper term, "More dakka"? Non, Dakka is used for firepower, not pictures. "More Dakka" is most commonly used as a term that best says more firepower or more guns.

Thanks, I'll do that.
I was joking about the dakka thing, in case that wasn't too readily apparent. :/
