It seems as though you guys are all for trying new things. (: The event poll has not gotten even one no so I think you guys are okay with MMOs.
I've constructed a list of MMOs that I think show the whole spectrum of MMOs. I've also included what I think of them if I've tried them. They are all free except EVE.

Maplestory (Just about everyone who has played an MMO has played Maplestory. It's a sidescrolling pixelated game that is fun at first but, I find, gets old after you level past 20. The quests are very long after you get to a good level and the game requires a lot of finger action.
Mabinogi Pyro recommended it. I don't know much about it.
Combat Arms This is an okay FPS (or first person shooter). It has great weapons and maps. It's updated quite a bit. They only problem I have with Combat Arms is that there is a large community of hackers and glitchers. There is no easy way to report them so it ruins a FANTASTIC game.
Exteel This is a fun FPS in which you are a large mecha. It's a nice FPS because it allows you to fight AI or real players (though not both at the same time.) The mechs are customizable and there is an okay amount of weapons. Overall it is a great game.
Sword of the New World Absolutely the BEST MMO I've ever played. I love the feature that allows you to command multiple characters at the same time so that you don't have to rely on other people to heal of Nuke for you. It's just FANTASTIC. FAN-FLIPPING-TASTIC. It includes muskets and swords. What more do you want?! :3
FlyFF Basic MMORPG (Rpg = Role Playing Game) with added flying (at level 20.)
Shaiya It's as good (if not better) than WoW. It's pretty much the same although you can't change sides without deleting characters. It's the MMORPG I am currently playing.
Atlantica Turn based MMO.
Audition Dance MMO.
Runescape Um... Well... Yeah... It's a fine game and I think it's underated. It was the first MMO I played and I played it for about 3 years. It has about everything you could ever do in an MMORPG.
EVE This is a very nice game. It is not an easy game though, erspecially for people who are new to MMOs. It's a space flight RPG that allows you to become a tough soldier, a miner, or a ruthless corporate head... or all of the above. It has a 14 day free trial. After that you have to pay for it.
Rumble Fighter Another Pyro suggestion. (:
Ace Online (Formerly Space Cowboy) A nice futuristic flight simulator MMO. It is graphically a lot like Exteel. I used to play this quite a bit and for a long time. It's pretty much based on how skilled you are at flight simulators but it's not that hard if you aren't going PvP (Player Vs. Player.) The PvE (Player Vs. Environment) gets harder and includes more dodging and running away as you get farther in the game. It's quite a nice game if you like flying.
Why don't you say what MMO you want to try as a guild?
Say the one you're most interested in and a runner up. A third place would be cool to!
