I'd like to have a Valentine's Day thing where we "give" each other Valentine's. I'm going to get my daughter to design some Valentine's graphics (like cards) and then we can give them to each other by posting them in the comments sections of people's profiles. What do you guys think?
I definitely think we should do an avatar contest, and I would be willing to organize a "secret admirer" contest like the Secret Santa one, if people are interested.

I totally love all the ideas we came up with in the Winter Contest thread. Like, the Secret Admirer Contest ElusiveBreath mentioned. Another costume contest would be fun, but there was talk about different ones so we'd have to all figure out what we'd like. One was a themed contest: Dress up as a specific romance character (Tuxedo Mask I believe was one example of a romance character) and when you submit your avi tell who you're dressed up as. Another was just a regular dress up for St. Valentine's Day contest (like in "Valentine's colors" or "all romantic-y" or even "broken hearted".) I myself like the thought of just a regular contest like before.

I like the idea of just dressing up in a valentine's theme instead of a specific character. If someone still wanted to do cos-play, it would still be considered a valentine's theme if it was considered a romantic character, however, if it was cos-play rules, someone wouldn't be able to do a general valentine theme. In other words, just making it a valentine's theme instead of cos-play allows contestants more freedom than just cos-play.
Of course, I probably won't be doing either so I guess it would depend more on what the people that are going to participate would rather do.

I like the secret valentines contest Elusive came up with, and a valentine themed dress up contest would be neat.
We could also do a Geezers in Love banner contest, and let the graphic artists go wild in here.
I'm going to participate this time! Valentine's day is holy to me!
That and it's my daughter's 2nd birthday this year!

I think these are all great ideas! Though im not to sure what "cos play" is!
I think a poetry contest would be a nice idea to, as valentines is all about fanning the flames of passion!

Yay, I have already started getting my outfit, as it were, together for a contest... of course, that was premature, but still mrgreen Better to be prepared!
I think all the ideas have been cool, cos-play might be difficult, given that we're a little limited in the props for "lovey" items, in my opinion. I like the broken-hearted thing that was mentioned! Maybe best "In-Love" and Best "Jilted Lover"? It could be interesting to see what everyone comes up with for them, lol

I think we should have a secret rendezvous search and discover. Hide items in the various areas of Gaia and then people will seek them out, allowing newbies to learn more about Gaia, and old hands to re introduce themselves to certain areas they might have been neglecting.

Such wonderful ideas you're all coming up with. Keep 'em coming and if anyone has ideas on how to expand on ones already posted, I'd be glad to hear some organization ideas, too.
