I just recently watched the Next Generation episode "Yesterdays Enterprise". Twice in the episode they mentioned a planet nmed "Archer 4". Which I presume is the 4th planet of the "Archer" system. My question is this. Is this planet and this system named after Jonathon Archer? If so then I am confused cause I thought that there was never any mention of Archer or the NX-01 before Enterprise came out. Can someone help me on this.

Archer is a star constellation (sagittarius), rectascension 17h 43m to 20h 29m, declination -11° 40’ bis -45° 15’.
It is also a sign of the zodiac. So no, it is not named after Jonathan Archer. I guess the star is one of the stars of the constellation.
