People usually hate what they don't understand. It's kind of like me hating math. >.>
Lol at this:
Quote: ...futuristic monster cards that attack and destroy other violent-looking cards. *Facepalm*
But after reading that article, I saw this comment:
] Quote: hey. i play yugioh. i can see where your son is coming from. basiclly, yugioh is a kind of chess with customizable pieces. he's actually using his brain for stratagy and his creativity to find "card combos" or cards that work together. he's excited about using his brain! how often do kids do that? when he tells you about it, he's showing he cares about you enough to include. Bad grammar but you get the point.

i was damn offended when that stupid article writer put down that anyone who plays it grows up to be skinny, pale geeks! *unaudible cursing* Who bump into poles looking at their decks no less!
@Mydia: at least yours understands their importance. DX my mom seems to pretend that she cares about the game and sees them as a burden when i get older..

"Yugioh cards are the devil, you sacrifice monsters and have rituals..." my mom....before I made her realize that nothin' she says will make me stop playin' yugioh, especially the part where I showed her my Fiend deck, which ensured my victory...Dark Necrofear ftw..... XDDDD

This is why only adults are allowed to play Children's Card Games. Little kids tell their parents everything about something they don't really care about.

Dracomancer Barrelex i was damn offended when that stupid article writer put down that anyone who plays it grows up to be skinny, pale geeks! *unaudible cursing* Who bump into poles looking at their decks no less! @Mydia: at least yours understands their importance. DX my mom seems to pretend that she cares about the game and sees them as a burden when i get older.. My mom doesn't see it as a burden to me at all. She's actually extremely impressed with how I make so much money off of it. I think it's really cool how she shows such interest in everything I'm into (she even was with Pokemon when I was younger). I came home from locals on Saturday and here was our conversation when I stepped through the door: Me: "MOM! I GOT ANOTHER CRUSH CARD!!!" Her: "Nice! How many does this make?" Me: "Three :3" Her: "Good job! That's like...$750+ dollars in just Crush Cards xD" She's great x3

Reminds me of back when I still played Magic... Mom complaining that she had to buy so much in cardboard at all... drive me across town to the one store that still had stock of Beta... Saying I could only keep playing as long as I made the money to pay her back for the trip to wherever... good times.

I guess its just my sense of humor that kind of twisted this around in my mind. Narrow Minded Mother ... they sound as if they were originally written in Japanese, translated to Swahili, converted to Albanian and finally translated into English… Its like she knows! yeah, shes just one of the many that're too narrow minded to understand the game or accept that her kid is not totally under her control anymore. Free will is the last thing parents want from a kid younger than 13. free your mind!
