A young girl walked amoung the dead streets of the local village. Saya Satoshi streched as she kept to herself while people locked their gazes on her. Saya knew that, by late night on certain nights, she could not be near people for their safety's sake. Saya wore a orange and red kimono, blending with her red hair. Saya's hair was wore up in a giant clothed bow, same texture and pattern as her kimono.


Saya stopped her casual walk when she saw that many drunks were coming out from the bar ahead. Saya was not looking for a fight with someone who didn't really want fight, only because they were drunk. There was no point. From the environment she was raised in, she did not fight unless it was necessary at that moment. Saya slowly wrapped her arms around herself, standing there in the coldness of the night. She pondered on the thought of the drunks, did they see her standing there gawking at them? A soft, quiet sigh escaped her lips.

The usual quiet of the village was something that Heart had always taken for granted. Nights like this, he realized, only caused him pain; those nights when drunks ran amok in the streets were nothing but a virus infecting his home in ways that he despised.

Slowly he found himself becoming more defensive over his home, things invaded his mind, thoughts, murmurs of whispers of murderous things, images of people holing up in a building where opening were shunned and blood dripped from the cracks in the wall, and he laughed. He foudn it amusing.

"Is this what it means to be insane?" He would ask himself sometimes, "Or is this just another trick to the head from the drugs?"

Tonight was like no other, his knife sat on his hip, impatiently waiting for the swim of life juices on its cold smooth surface. Heart had pulled his thin, soft black hair back from his face with a small leather string, and eyes that had once been blue, shone as the dyig orange coals in the moonless night.

He licked his lips wetting them against the relentless wind of that night as he waited for the drunks to emerge from their pit.

"Tonights the night," He thought, fingering the knife at his waist as he shifted his weight from one heavily booted foot to the other, "Tonight's the night they all go to Hell."

Saya stood aomung the night life, silent and observant. She had her arms crossed her her chest and a hood pulled over her head to hide her bloody red hair. Something her father gave her. She laughed a hard laugh; frustration. She was raised in a decent home, a drunk father and a never home mother. Saya swallowed hard, seeing as drunks her coming near her.


Saya knew, if it came down to it, she would fight them and kill them. She had agression and frustration, two bad combinations for her. Saya watched as they walked casually towards her, the sway to their step and the slur of their words as they tried to talk. She mumbled words under her breath, just plain insults to the beings that were stepping closer to their death.


Saya uncrossed her arms and glared at the one in the front, knowing if the 'leader of the pack' was gone, the group would fall apart. She laughed at her use of words, seeing as it is so true anymore. They caught her under a mishaprehension and began picking up speed towards her. She sighed.
