Who Else Likes the Persona Series?

I recently bought Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES, and I have to say, it is my favorite game. Ever. Any other fans, or detractors for that matter, in the guild?

They're fairly low profile, which is why I was surprised to see a FES edition at the store I used to work at. But the 4th one is coming out on the 9th, so that's cool.

i think i'm half way done with FES, and i pre-ordered Persona 4 already... just waiting for it now ^.^
and if you want to get both, they're 2 different stories.
I love Persona ^.^ hoping 4's really good.

Widget: Yeah, I'm also about halfway through FES, and I have 4 payed off at work. I'm pretty excited.

Being a Nintendo child until the dawn of the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox, I... have never played the first two games in the series. However.

HOWEVER.

Persona 3 is one of my favorite games evar. I'm on my third playthrough now (Newgame + in FES, bby). I have Persona 4 pre-ordered, too. I've also cosplayed P3's main/Minato Arisato 'cause I'm a loser like that, and I'm thinking of eventually doing Ryoji and maaaybe Chie from P4. Though I think the most badass thing ever would be someone cosplaying Nyx Avatar~

B-besides those, the only other Shin Megami Tensei game I own is Devil Summoner- Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army. Which... I fail at. Epically.

I have only played Persona 3 FES and Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, which I wasn't a fan of.

I've heard horror stories about how frustratingly hard some of the games are, Nocturn included. Considering I'm a horrible gamer... um... yea, perhaps I found the wrong series to take interest in. 8D

The games are difficult from a standpoint of when you are lucky, you are very lucky, with several critical hits in a row and whatnot. However, when you are unlucky, you are quite unlucky indeed.

All it really takes is a reasonable level of strategic thinking, and the rest is up to your stats.
