Hair: I'd like the feathers and beads edited out of the tail, please. Also, hair over the hooves and modified medium hair.
Clothing: On his legs, I'd like bandages that are wrapped along his legs, beginning just above his hooves (the hair sticking out underneath) and ending just below the trunk of his body. Also, all along his body there needs to be scars of varying shapes and lengths, done in a lighter color than his hide - though none of the scars are present on his face.

Xiphias is, above all things, a loyal being. Though he's been harmed in the past, and the evidence is wrought all over his body, he tries his hardest to escape the bitter feelings that could consume him and instead has withdrawn emotionally. Though outgoing and cheerful for the most part, he hides away much of himself, presenting an affable front that inspires others to get along with him but not get too close.
He often cracks jokes and tries to divert a serious conversation into something more lighthearted, preferring not to dwell on the many dark and serious aspects that life can hold. He's seen much and been on the wrong end of misuse and abuse, but because the memories are very real and painful for him, he would rather not mention them at all.
Capable of being serious, if you manage to weasel your way into Xiphias' heart, you'll be there forever - and he'll do anything for you. He is capable of forming a bond so strong that he would literally live or die for another - the OC he is based off of is a thief who leads a guild of thieves, and he has almost died for his best friend a number of times while attempting to help him restore his throne - without a moment's hesitation. Though at first glance this may seem selfless, it is actually very selfish, and he knows that - he would rather save a friend's life and have them go on without him than vice versa. He can't stand the thought of being left lonely, or living through the pain and suffering that losing a best friend inspires.
He's dependable and surprisingly honest, except when it comes to his own feelings and emotions. Despite his best efforts, Xiphias has a tender heart and gets attached easily, which is generally his signal to run for the hills.
His history is a somewhat depressing one, beginning with a life in servitude of humans who used him for their own gain. As a colt just learning how to fly, he wandered from his parents - a decision that he regrets even to this day, though he won't speak of it. Before he knew it he'd gone too far to remember the way back, and his circling in the sky attracted the attention of some men who were driving cattle. He grew tired and thought to find shelter in the woods and wait for his parents to find him, but was unaware that the men had been following his flight and were waiting for him.
When he fell asleep they attacked, wrapping his body in thick cords so that his wings were pinned to his sides, and restraining his head so that he couldn't bite at them. Though he fought as best he could, they subdued him, anchoring him to one of their own horses and forcing him to walk along. When he tried to stop, they beat him with a crop, though he continued to resist for quite some time - hence where the scars all over his body came from.
Xiphias was turned into a sideshow attraction, the winged horse that people paid incredible amounts of money to come see. Always, always his wings were restrained unless he was on display, and even then he would have heavy cuffs put around all four legs, chained to a platform so that he could fly up and around the enclosed area but never leave. Many times he flew to the ends of the chains only to strain against his cuffs, unable to leave. He wounded himself often, the cuffs digging into his ankles, but he continued to try to escape, even as he grew into adulthood.
Though considered too dangerous for people to attempt to ride, there were times he was muzzled so that they could approach and pet him, touch his wings. If he behaved, he was left alone; however, if he retaliated in any way, be it tossing his head at them, straining toward the humans, or beating at them with his wings, he would be viciously subdued (the addition of more scars on his body). Xiphias naturally resented and hated the humans, but he learned in time to cooperate with them for the sake of having them lower their guard so that he could leave.
Finally, one day, his opportunity arose. He'd been docile for some time, and the young human who tended him was gullible, nervous. He didn't restrain Xiphias properly after a show, mostly inspired by Xiphias' rare displays of affection. He did feel some kinship toward the human, mostly because he was treated with compassion by the young boy, but he still didn't trust him - he just made the human believe he did. As the nights progressed the human left his straps a little looser each night, seeing the damage they had done to his wings. On one fateful night, he forgot something in the main ring, and hadn't secured Xiphias' legs to their shackles. He disappeared for just a moment, but that was all Xiphias needed.
Seizing the opportunity, he broke out of his stable, wings still loosely strapped to his sides, but running for all that he was worth. The humans noticed, but even though they pursued him, they couldn't catch up; eventually, he managed to get far enough away to breathe easily, and managed to get the straps off his wings, though that took some creativity and patience.
Xiphias doesn't trust easily, and certainly not humans, but despite his long history of captivity and abuse, he refuses to be ruled by it. Instead, he's shoved it all to the back of his mind, where it is still very real and still bothers him very much, and refuses to think about it. His serious nature will show through when it really matters, but his method of coping is humor and emotional distance; he'll seem perfectly friendly, but anyone who interacts with him on a regular basis will come to realize that, no matter how often they see him, they walk away knowing even less about him than they thought they did each time.

Franzi is a high-maintenance Soquili and she knows it. Originally recruited to pull heavy wagons between shows and help in the transport of materials, one day one of the circus horses got into a terrible accident and broke her leg while rehearsing. The troupe was unable to purchase another one, as money was tight enough, but they needed another horse to fill the role. Out of all the prospects, Franzi was the youngest and healthiest, and there was an intelligence about her that was undeniable. A few minor adjustments were made to the horse's costume, and she was thrust head-long into a series of intense training sessions, more rushed than any of them would have liked.
Despite the hurried nature of it all, Franzi began to shine and proved herself to be a quick learner. She'd always watched the other horses prance about prettily, picking up their feet and arching their necks, and had longed to be recognized as a beautiful performer like them. Unbeknownst to anyone else, she'd practiced on her own prior to that day, doing her best to imitate their walk, posture, and expressions. It paid off when she was finally admitted into the circle of performers, if only as a stand in - but she knew that if she wanted to remain with them she would have to shine.
She performed so well that she quickly became a star attraction, the pretty mare with the dark body and flaxen mane that picked up her feet prettier than any of the others and performed stunts like a pro. Quickly, Franzi became indispensable, and when they purchased a new horse, it was one to fill the gap she'd left in hauling equipment, while she remained a performer.
Life in the spotlight suited Franzi, though no one could really say that fame changed her. She'd always been obsessed with personal hygiene and just a little bit vain, and the additions of ribbons and extra grooming only fanned that fire. While she doesn't look down on others for not being as pretty as she is, she does consider herself one of the most beautiful beings to grace the planet, and makes certain that others know it as well. She hates being dirty, or anything that detracts from her polished appearance - torn ribbons, frizzy hair, anything like that. If she sees a mare who is obviously not living up to her full potential appearance-wise she'll butt in and try to help her look her best, out of mostly good intentions - she just likes pretty things, and desperately enjoys being surrounded by them.
The life of a starlet was all fine and well until it came crashing down on her. A gentleman in the audience of one of the troupe's performances recognized her for what she was - a purebred Black Forest mare - and immediately after the show approached the circus manager and made him an offer he could not refuse. Suddenly Franzi found herself changing hands for the express purpose of breeding to a Black Forest stallion to continue the bloodline, and she was certainly less than pleased. Caught up in the romance of the adventure, she persuaded the stallion to make a break for it, and they plotted their escape.
When the time was right, they caused a huge ruckus, broke out of their containment areas, and fled in the night. Needless to say, the breeder is likely still looking for them, but they are on their way to greener pastures, so to speak, where breeding is not a requirement.
A girl does have her figure to think about, after all.

Description:
Body: A cream color with white natural markings, CC, but there should be patches of his coat that are dark and gnarly like they're infected with plague -- especially going down his legs. I would especially like some plague on his face, around his eye or something -- very visible and apparent that this a horse who has some kind of sickness appearing on his body.
Hair color: White
Hair style: Ragged and unkempt, but falling mostly straight for the mane and the tail. CC on the exact style, and though I don't want it trailing along the floor, I'd like to have it at least be medium length.
Eyes: Brown
Wings: Cream colored like the body, but with the edges of the wings blackened and whatnot.
Expression: Solemn, not the usual smiling face that you would see on the male base.
Accessories: A long wrap scarf, one that goes around his neck and over his head a bit. You should still be able to see his face, and his mane should be poking through it in a messy sort of way. The scarf should look a bit ragged and dirty, maybe even a little gross (this horse is the theme of plague).
Bandaging going up his legs, not the trading post kind -- it should be a bit uneven and haphazard, showing that his legs are mostly covered in plague, because it is peeking through the bandaging. The bandages shouldn't be pristine and pretty, either.
Mostly, I'm looking for you to have fun with the theme! The markings, exact placement of the plague damage, exactly how the sash falls, all of that are up to you. I prefer Soq that are more simplistic when it comes to edits and whatnot, and since Angeni wings are so big, I'd really like for him to not look overdone. c:

~*~ Colors & Markings ~*~
Body: White with dark brown/black mixed markings, mostly random, though over his shoulder several come together to look like a bullseye. It should be jagged and rough so that it doesn't look like it's supposed to be a bullseye, more like it just happened through the markings by chance.
Also, a lot of scars, just randomly strewn over his coat. This guy gets into a lot of fights and doesn't mind getting hurt. The only one that I'm really particular about is a thick scar along his throat, a really nasty one -- like someone tried to rip his throat out, basically, a long time ago.
Face: A wide, wild smile, showing fang. Definitely not the typical Kalona snarl, more of a mildly crazy look that happens to show off some fang. He should look like a bit of a loon, but maybe the kind of loon that will bite your head off. You can put scars on his face if you like, or some dark markings, whatever looks good. I'm really flexible on the actual markings as long as there's a bullseye and the really big scar on his neck.
His eyes should be gold.
Mane: Have fun with this! Some kind of spiked, punk-y look, with his hair looking disheveled and wild, maybe with a few braids here and there. If you want, some bling in his hair would be cool too, but maybe just veeeery moderate. Like, if you give him a fat little braid, maybe put some kind of jeweled band to hold it at the end? Just something fun and stylish. It should be black.
Tail: Uni tail, but with more ragged hair on the end of it. Nothing too wild, but it should match the spiky quality to his mane.
Hooves/Fetlocks: Ragged feathering over his hooves, kind of long and unkemt.

Azazel has been different from the moment he was born. Body a pure snowy white with golden veins stretching from his eyes and on the leathery undersides of his wings, he looked nothing like his mother or father, a bafflement to the rest of the small herd. Prideful and prejudiced, the herd turned on the colt and his mother, insisting that she'd been unfaithful - and with a light-colored stallion to boot. Though he bore all the characteristics of a fully blooded Kalona, Azazel was deemed a lesser being, especially by his father. The herd turned on him, banishing both he, for looking different, and his mother, for dallying with a supposed lesser being.
Young and cast away from the rest of the herd, Azazel was left to depend on his mother, a bitter and twisted mare who strongly resented him for her own ostracization. She was as opposite of her son as she could be; with a coat like midnight and eyes black as her heart, she blamed Azazel and never let him forget that he was the reason the rest of the herd had turned on them. Often the source of her temper, Azazel suffered lashings from his mother's tail for the smallest of offenses, often taking the brunt of her frustration when they were unable to find food or shelter. When he asked her why she bothered to keep him around, she coldly told him that she wanted him to suffer as much as she did, and the only way she could be certain it happened was if he was constantly under her care.
He didn't have a chance from the beginning. Shown only contempt and abuse from his mother, the one who should have nurtured him, he withdrew into himself, learning to hate out of self defense. Despising his mother for the way she treated him, and himself for how he had been born, Azazel became progressively more bitter. When his mother lashed out at him, he only hardened his stare, staying stonily silent until her tantrums passed. Against his mother's fire, he turned his heart to ice, regulating his emotions to the point where his mother could sense no reaction from him; this usually ended her tirades.
One day, he finally turned his back on his mother, calmly and deliberately telling her that he would never again look at her and call her mother. She struck out at him, attacking her son as she had many times before; this time, however, he fought back. Stunned, his mother ceased her advances, and Azazel walked away, bleeding but not broken.
He was an outcast and he knew it, and as much as he hated his mother for all she had done to him, he also hated his herd for turning their backs on him, and himself for being different. Even though it was clearly something he could not have controlled, Azazel has always despised his own appearance. When he struck out on his own he was little more than a skinny, rough colt with a chip on his shoulder and a cold, deep hate burning his his heart for everyone and every thing.
He trusts no one, believing that in this world he can only rely on himself to survive. Having never been shown kindness, he wouldn't know how to begin to express it, and would likely consider it a weakness anyhow. He treats others with scorn and contempt, driving them as far away from him as he can. He's afraid of many things, and sees his fear as a weakness to be overcome - he will never willingly show vulnerability to another, and the smaller he feels inside, the colder and nastier he becomes on the outside.

I'm going to provide a truly beautiful picture to inspire you, and from there, I hope you'll go wild and have fun with her! c: This Soq is going to be somewhat of a cold, reserved beauty, having lost the one she loves in the past and thus holding herself apart from most others.
For her body/mane/accessories, please be inspired by the fairy pictured! It doesn't need to be a carbon copy or anywhere near it (I would actually prefer if she didn't look TOO much like the reference, just take the general idea and maybe go with the color scheme?) just inspired by the feel and colors of the picture.
Horn: Style 1. Faintly glowing, if you could?
Expression: Eyes half-lidded, not smiling.
Scales: Take the colors from the background of the image, please! c:
Mane: Something delicate and pretty looking, maybe with a faintly glowy look to it as well - like a very bright white or pale color, or something like that? Jewelry or accessories up in it would be awesome, or maybe a sprig of flowers, some chopstick pieces.
Body: No skin tones, please!
For the clothes in the reference, maybe translate them to a sash thrown over the body, or tastefully done sleeves? Nothing too over the top, it should sit well on the horse frame and look like it belongs. <3
All in all, she should bring to mind the picture of a delicate beauty, but with something a little harder about her face that makes you think well - this is no dame in distress. If she gives off the impression of "she's too pretty to touch" that's the general air I'm going for. =D

Body: Brown, should look natural compared to shiny gold scales.
Horn: Gold.
Eyes: Blue.
Hair color: Dark blue.
Hair style: Shaggy and layered, but all down his neck. It should resemble a mane even though it's based off a human hairstyle. (similar to the Cropped/Forever foal for what I mean by this, but a fluffy, customized mane to suit the reference.)
Expression: Serious! Unsmiling.
Tail: The hair on the end of his tail the same color as his mane, please.
Scales: Gold, though you can play with the colors and variations of it to make it look pretty.
Cloak: Dark red cloak, bound at his chest but slung over his shoulders so that it's not covering his body in the pic.
Armor: Going down his legs, in blue and gold, fashioned like the armor in the reference pictures, but modified to fit a horse. On his left leg, the headband in the reference images should be tied at the top of the armor, not around his head.

Mane: Black; his bangs should be long and ragged, falling over his face for the most part, though you can see his eye and mouth still. The majority of his mane will be pulled into a ponytail, hanging over the visible shoulder. It should be a thin ponytail, like the one in the reference.
Tail: Big and poofy! He obviously can't have a tail like the reference, but as close as you can get would be cool. c:
Coat: Mainly red; it should be a pinkish-white around his nose, legs, belly, and neck, with faint striping patterns along his ears and back.
Eyes: See reference -- bright red pupils, dark red eyewhites, glowing if you can!
Expression: Similar to Einarr's; serious and severe, but not an outright snarl.
Ears: Dark red with faint stripes in them, like the reference; also, a sizeable chunk taken out of one ear.
Hooves: Cloven, dark red hooves - longer feathering over them, but you should still be able to see that they're cloven.
