It's Johnny's birthdaaaaay, it's Johnny's birthdaaaaay!
So October 9th is approaching here! Today is the birthday of the much-loved John Lennon. Are you going to do anything to celebrate?
I'm only going to listen to Lennon songs all day. That doesn't mean just his solo stuff, also the Beatles things that he mostly wrote. His face is on the back of my sweatshirt that I will be wearing, his signature on the front.
I want to make it a special day, for thinking of John and appreciating everything that he did. Not acting like he's some sort of god who can do no wrong, which is utterly ridiculous, just...paying attention to the good things he did and the music he wrote.
Also, I am cranking It's Johnny's Birthday by George Harrison up. Several times.
EDIT: I did the above. In class. I plugged my iPod into the speakers after mostly everyone (except my friends) was gone and totally cranked it. 'Twas a great celebration.
You got any plans?
