Lifted from the other thread- since we are going to podcast on Culture Rape first- here are the major points we need to do some quality research on with proper citation.

Examples

What we need:
Someone who is able to read Japanese to help compile quotes from historical myths that explain why foreigners are considered oni.

Other points we could disscuss:

Shamanism- the 'plastic shaman' phenomenon and 'core shamanism'

Native american spirituality culture rape- I have an article related to this somewhere too.

KARMA!

A good stint on the westernization of Karma.

Karma within the Dharmic concept. The development of the idea in modern western mystical traditions, Blavatski's take, the modern eclectic neopagan usage of it etc etc.

It's one that could do with a 101 FAQ imo.

All that said, I wouldn't be confidant in my own abilities to properly articulate the matter.

Deo's a good one for that. I'll add it to the list.

I have some training in Japanese. I could try to find and puzzle through something if you need it.

Sorry, I just saw the word 'Japanese' and it piqued my interest.
I'm studying Japanese at university. I don't know if I'll be of any help, but if you want, I could try and translate the myths? (If I can't fully translate, I could ask my fiance if he could help me-he's Japanese)
