I keep seeing ads for "male enhancement" here on Gaia... am I the only person who'd rather see ads for Robotech, DBZ, or Naruto than "male enhancement"? Some of them are very "informative" even without the visual.

Weird... I haven't seen those yet, but I would be upset too if I saw them. That's not PG 13, so it doesn't belong on gaia.

Ew. I think it's weird. If Gaia is really that hard up for money, they could at least get ads that actually have something to do with the site. Male enhancement isn't one of them. I get mad seeing all the other ads anyway. D:

I would suspect spyware, but I have no interest in that sort of "improvement". My browsers have been acting funny when I run searches to the point that I no longer use the search toolbars that come with them tho.

I third the Robotech idea - or, how about Pepsi? Or Coca-Cola? You know, something that Gaians will ACTUALLY use?
Male enhancement is best advertised on a porn site - and Gaia it is not.

They ought to be advertising pixie sticks and naruto headbands.
Would I buy those things? No. Would 90% of Gaia?
Hell yes.

One of the ads on the main page a month or so ago was for a porn site supposedly showing a Miley Cyrus shower video. Totally serious. Talk about innappropriate. I think Gaia leases that advertising space out without taking direct control over what ads are shown there. It's probably done by some agency that just randomly places ads from clients without filtering content.

Male enhancement is best advertised on a porn site - and Gaia it is not. The last thing a teen site needs would be male enhancement whatevers. It's a bunch of teens who think the world of their pee-pee's; doubt they're thinking much more than when's the next time they can visit it.

Yes, it's totally inappropriate. I'm not sure it's something that can be controlled by Gaia, though. As previously mentioned, Gaia exists free because of the advertisements that pop up. Those are placed by a randomizer; Gaia isn't in charge of which ads are shown.

I either zone out or jump to anouther tab and check out meez or youtube or something. I am the same person who dies laughing watching Satan worshiping Pooh bear though, so perhaps I am the wrong person to comment about this. sweatdrop

Nightowl is correct. Gaia doesn't hand pick the ads. The companies are given size guidelines and host whatever they have available.
I'm fairly sure that you're supposed to take screenshots and report any inappropriate ones that you see. They'll then be removed.
