What do you do to improve your writing?

I find it hard to write anything but a novel haha.

It's novels for me too.
I guess I write the occasional short story, but mostly those are for contests on Gaia. Novels are my kind of thing because I get to spend longer with my characters. ;]

I said novels, even though I think the most I've ever gotten is like, three or four chapters. BUT THEY WERE ALL SUPPOSED TO BE NOVELS.

I used to write poetry, but I suck at it and I stopped.

Poetry is neat. I write it when the mood strikes. It's pretty... free form? Slam style, at times. Definitely meant to be read aloud.

My first publisher had two levels

Short stories.. I don't possess the patience to write novels. I am hoping to have the shorts line up and give a picture similar to a novel one of these days though.

Mostly short stories- and I do mean short. I've decided to use my Gaia journal for some of them. My original thought was to have a series of connected myths in there, but I'm not sure what to do to go with the first one I wrote. (Feel free to take a peek at it, I made it public for a reason.)
