If you would have to compare your favourite book
with your favourite movie,
which one would you vote for?

Well...
I have read some awesome books.
It really gets your imagination going.

But in movies... Wow.
You feel so much more interested.
And plus, most movies continue.
Books don't.

So my vote goes to movies.

I love both. And think they can't be compared.

Some cultural texts are just meant to be books, other movies. One thing is sure - because of different artistic means in books and movies, never, ever, ever, ever, watch adaptations!

I think books definitely cos you can imagine everything how YOU want it to be. In movies everything is alrealdy there for you and you don't use your imagination.

I prefer the books so that in the middle of the movie I don't correct the mistakes the director made. Argghhh, I wonder what they did to the book InkHeart. question

I prefer books, because you can let your imagination run away with you. Movies are predetermined. Also, yeah, directors totally SCREW UP the best books -- Eragon, Inkheart (did you see the previews??), and the previews for the Half Blood Prince were so disheartening...

But books are heavier, that's for sure.

I prefer movies because I'd like to be a director one day. Movies often make me go 'wow', books don't.

I love both but I like books more, they have better details than any movie I have ever seen compared to the movies of those books biggrin

I love being able to imagine the characters in my head but I also enjoy seeing how they turn out in movies and compare the two different ideals of the story. Its nice when they make a book into a movie for me so I can get a fuller understanding of the story. emo

Books, hands down.
Movies just kinda.. lose the appeal for a book quite a lot.

For me, the books are always better. The movies tend to cut things out that I really enjoy.

Favorite book vs Favorite movie?
I'd have to say book..
My favorite books are in series and always continues..
Movies that continue tend to be crap.

My favorite book provided me with a whole summer of enriching material. My favorite movie was three hours of mindless awesome.

I just consider these things to be different categories of entertainment. I read books for the intricate storyline and character development, as well as the potential for personal growth. I watch movies for mindless action scenes that easily defy the laws of physics or even good sense.

But if I were to actually answer your question, definitely the book.
