Hey I picked up some already painted models (crap job) the other day and i was wondering if anyone knew how to remove paint from already painted models.

No Spamming, in any form, including bumps and advertising.



Read the rules and live by them if you want to keep out of trouble.

Soak them in Simple Green for a day. That'll loosen the paint up enough that it'll come off when scrubbed with a toothbrush.

Or if you have a Pewter Model, you can soak that bad boy in some Acetone for a few hours, and BOOM! Paint Purge Pewter model.

I second that, on pewter. On plastics, I use brake cleaner and that typically removes the paint. Just don't leave it in for too long.

i have also been told that you can soak them in lemon juice for a while, it seems to make sence seing how they are a water based paint. i have also heard pops work to (just dont forget to rinse them off after)

I'm stripping mine two I leave em in simple green for about 20 minuets and then I scrub em with a tooth brush works fine.
