Welcome to the random egg exchange. This is a guild event that will be running until the end of time or when it grows unpopular. Whichever happens first. xd
What you need to participate:
1. Wi-Fi access. This is very important, without it you cannot trade eggs.
2. A copy of Diamond or Pearl (or Platinum when it is released).
3. A minimum of six eggs total from no less than three different pokemon, they should be mixed between themselves so that you do not know what you give out.
How to Participate in the Random Egg Exchange:
It is simple, all you have to do is make a post in this thread, listing the number of eggs you have up for trade, your trainer name, your friend code, and a space for listing whom you have received eggs from and what hatched from them, like this:
Number of Eggs: #
Trainer Name: Name
Friend Code: Twelve digits.
Eggs Received:
Trainer Name - Pokemon Hatched.
You can also add what version of the game you use, if you so chose. In that case, put it below the number of eggs, but above your trainer name.
You will earn points from trading and hatching traded eggs. What these points are for is a secret, but there will be a scoreboard.
The Rules:
1. Nobody talks about the egg exchange...Just kidding. ^^
2. The following pokemon are not allowed, if you give out any of these, you will be blacklisted:
Burmy, Caterpie, Combee, Delibird, Magikarp, Weedle, and Wurmple.
3. No hacked eggs. Anyone caught giving out hacked eggs will get blacklisted.
4. You need at least six eggs to begin with to participate, but this number will naturally get smaller as time progresses. The eggs must come from at least three different pokemons.
5. No trading eggs for hatched pokemon and vice versa.
6. No spamming in the thread. Spamming equals getting blacklisted.
7. No questions in the thread, if you have a question regarding the random egg exchange, post it in the main guild forum.
8. One post per participating person. If you have more than one of the fourth edition games, you are allowed to have one post per game. I.e. If you have both Diamond and Pearl, you are allowed one post for each. However, each post must be labeled with which game it is.
9. Only one legendary egg is allowed and that is Phione (gotten by breeding a Manaphy with a Ditto).
10. When you get an egg in a trade you have to hatch it.
11. You have the right to refuse any trade you are offered (It's shouldn't really need to be said, but I am putting it here anyway, just in case).
F.A.Q:
Q: What does blacklisted mean?
A: If you get blacklisted you are barred from participating in the random egg exchange. This is usually permanent. However, if I become convinced (and only I, no point in petitioning the other guild moderators) that you have learned your lesson and won't repeat what ever you did to become blacklisted, I might remove you from the blacklist, allowing you to participate again.
Q: Where is the discussion thread?
A: The discussion thread can be found here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=13435735
Q: Are starters common or rare pokemon?
A: Starters count as rare pokemon since they cannot be caught in the wild in any of the available games.
Q: What about spirtomb/the dragons?
A: They are rare, as is Feebas.
Q: I accidentally got the egg of a rule #2 egg mixed in with my other eggs, does this mean I have to hatch all my eggs until I hatch the banned pokemon? I don't want to get black-listed!
A: First of all, don't panic! I do realize that we are just human, and mistakes do and usually will happen. If one of the rule #2 pokemon should rear its ugly head, you can take a 10 point penalty instead of getting black-listed.
The Blacklist:
Nothing here yet. Let's keep it that way, 'kay?
