i would love to see a movie or maybe even a new tv show about Sulu and his adventures on the Excelsior. anyone else like this idea?

I think that that would be great Sulu had a lot of character and would be well worthy of such smile I especially liked the breif glimpse into life on the excelsior in that voyager episode when Tuvok had his flashback

George Takei is an older man now, and has the look of experience that he could not have had at the time of the original series. I would love to see the voyages of the Starship Excalibur with Captain Sulu in command, and I can just as easily see Pavel Chekov as his first officer. They were good friends. The only trouble with that is that Chekov had his own command on a different class ship.
