So yeah...I loved reading the first series. It was different from any other comic book I have read. I also heard Gerard is coming out with the second series. I can't wait!

Ci, I bought the volume of all 6 issues together of Apocalype Suite....
Finnaly got what the title meant
LOVE IT!
I hate how long it takes to put out comics though...
Manga comes out faster because most of it is just in black and white
(I think that's why anyways....)
I'd take The Umbrella Academey in black and white
If it came out faster....
(Coloring is sweet though)

yes yes yes i love it!
one day i was on imnotokay.com with my friend and this pop-up thingy came up and said something about Gerard doing a comic book series. so we clicked on it and found out what it was called and stuff then looked up what it was about, ever since then i'd been begging my parents to get it for me. coz i live in Australia it wasn't released here so we had to order it through this comic book store so we could get a copy of it sent over. and so a few months ago i came home from school and mum handed me a bag (i didn't know what was in it) with a copy of the umbrella academy in it. it's all six issues in one book.
i took it to school a few weeks ago for my friend (who is also and MCR fan) to read and now she's trying to save up the $120 she needs to order it in.
well... thats my story of how i came across it... I've read it 8 times and im still not sick of it!

I bought the volume 1 compilation at Hot Topic. I really enjoyed the little tidbits in the back, but does anyone know what the hardback limited edition version has?
Also, I CAN'T WAIT FOR SCARECROW BLUES!!!
At least, that's what I thought the 2nd volume was called, but that website that was linked to says the 2nd volume is called Dallas. I think that might just be the title of the first chapter, though...

Yes!!! I found it in sub city... (the 2nd best comic book store in Ireland) on FCBD and just saw gerards name on the cover and it had to be mine...
Bought them one by one and now any time I walk in the guy behind the desk looks at me and replies nope no news yet...

The only thing I wish would be different is that if Gee at least did the drawings for the covers...
Sad that we don't get to be graced with his art razz
Fantastic series otherwise can't wait to see what happens to White Violin!

umbrella academy became my favorite comic ever when I got my hands on it. The characters are so great. D: I just wish that Horror wasn't killed off, he was a pretty chill hero.
Gerard way had announced on Scream awards that they were working on an Umbrella Academy Movie that should be out by 2010... don't know if that's already been mentioned. sweatdrop
