I could have sworn there was the exact same topic somewhere, but I can't find it so I guess this is alright.

Since we're here, try Envy amd Boris. Less silly costumes, more good.

I like a few Japanese goth bands like Madame Edwarda, G-Schmitt, Auto-Mod and Phaidia.

Never trust anyone who uses the term j-rock.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again-

I like Japanese rock bands, but I hate "j-rock".

Much in the way that I love some Japanese animation, but I hate "anime".

Well the j-rock thing I agree with, but anime being the distinguishing term between animation, flash media and CGi its a valid professional term.

Anyway... Mad Capsule Markets 'nough said.

Except that the definition of J-Rock seems to be synonymous with Visual Kei.

Visual Kei is a portion of J-Rock but it is by no means the entire thing.
Like how Anime is animation but so is American stuff (which is really different)

Jrock/VK pretty much makes up the majority of my music life. More than half the artists on my mp3 player are Jrock artists, and I'm in a bunch of Jrock guilds here on Gaia. It's an obsession, and I love it whee
And I really don't see what's wrong with the term Jrock...

That's sad. Most of them sound very similar to each other. You need to broaden your horizons.

No. It's just Asian glam-rock.
