Why have such an elaborate thread dedicated to banners? Because they are one of the greatest resources for a Guild in becoming stronger, and everyone loves to have a sexy banner of their favorite boys going at it in their signature!

How to put a banner in your signature

Step 1 - Select the banner you like from here.
Step 2 - Copy the above code by highlighting it and pressing ctrl+c or right click copy.
Step 3 - Go to your signature edit area. To get there click My Gaia -> Account -> Signature.
Step 4 - Paste the above code into the signature area, edit where it says 'Banner URL Goes Here,' erase it and paste in the URL for the banner of your choice in this spot.
Step 5 - Click Preview if you need to check to make sure you did it correctly, then click Submit.

And now you have a super sexy badge of honor to show all of Gaia that you're a proud supporter of Boy-Boy Love and this Guild!

Create Your Own Banners

Okay, so you've seen all these wonderful banners, but you want to make your own! Take a moment to look around and think about what makes some banners seem better than others. The text being centered? Off to the side? Matching or complimenting the color of the picture? Small and simple is usually the best way to go, but do whatever you want!

Step 1 - Find an image you would like use for your banner. Remember, simpler is better for a banner in most cases. Be sure the size of the picture is no more than 500x500 pixels since this is the maximum size for a signature picture. And remember, nothing over PG-13!
Step 2 - Next you have to find an image-editing program; there is always Paint, but it is very difficult to make a nice banner there. It is better to use PhotoShop, PaintShopPro, or Corel Painter. There are many more to choose from.
Step 3 - Open the program and import the image you want to make into a banner. Crop it to look good, but don't cut any faces off!
Step 4 - Now pick a nice font to use, and add the appropriate text such as the name of the guild, join now, or something like that. You can often use layers to do effects with the text to make it less clashy with the image. Add shadows, make it transparent, etc.
Step 5 - Save the image, then upload it to Photobucket or a similar website like Imageshack.
Step 6 - Come here, click 'post,' copy-paste the URL of the image in and edit it into the banner code found in the above post. Then submit it!
