Well, seeing as how the folklore dictates that he is a spectre of some kind, I would say yes, as I firmly believe in the paranormal.
There are things in existence that science and religion just cannot explain. If you look, you will find them.

When I had chickenpox, my parents stuffed feathers down my shirt and said I was turning into a chicken. I was freaked out for like an hour or two, then I kinda got used to it and thought it was cool. Then they told me it was a lie. So it's like they got me twice.
...No wonder I turned out the way I did.
