Part-time job?

well the real purpose to make a new topic is that

i've just had a part-time job in a restaurant for about a week
then my parents say that they will let me work only for another 2 weeks
after that they won't let me do it anymore.
i just don't understand why they dont want me to work.

do you have opinions on this? can someone tell me what's their reasons of not wanting me to work?

Maybe because they realize you're too young and don't wanna be charged with child labor laws? rofl Or maybe they're afraid of you meeting cute asian guys while you're there.

Er you're old enough to work right? Well probably. Anyway they might be concerned or worried ya know. My mom calls like every hour at home, imagine me going out to get a job! Jebus I'll kill my phone by then! Anyway or the fact that you don't need a job...or maybe they afraid you'll meet some hot guy! it happens!!

There are more things in life rather than making money and trying to get through it.

Possibly just a reminder that you're still young and need to live it up and get through school to get better jobs amirite.

I mean i work at a gymnastics building part-time and it's basically fun all in one so my parents approve anyway.

1) They're afraid it'll interrupt your studies.

2) They're afraid you'll become too independent.

3) They want you to not worry about working.

I know my Grandfather didn't want me to work.
He yelled at my Mom saying that I shouldn't. Hahahaha.
