seriously, the only way making a melody holdss any real interest to me is if I am the one making and creating it, I cannot hold interest in playing other people's stuff. BUT I WANT TO THOUGH! I want to play final fantasy music but i lack patience, i was just hoping i wasn't alone with this symptom xd

im with u on this. i love most kinds of music, but for some reason reason I get a little jealous if i at least dont know how to play the song. even if its my favorite song, im not happy til ican play it! eek xp

Maybe you should try and pick up songs by listening to them a little more.
start simple then get tougher
