I am refurbishing this thread in the name of, well, not making a new one, I suppose.

User ImageUsername: Smile C I E L
Name: Cian Lowell (This is an alias. His real name's not something he mentions, or even acknowledges.)
Age: Thirteen
Gender: Male, In spite of what some people might try and persuade you to think.
Race: Half-human from an alternate dimension, half bat-demon from this dimension. The hybrid genetic combination's made him into something of a separate, mutated species.
Weight: 94 lbs
Height: 4'11"
Hair Color Slate gray with blue lowlights
Eye Color Cerulean blue
Parents: His mother was named Colleen Quinn. His father is Able Michkuui.
Theme song: "Butterflies and Hurricanes" by Muse
Sexuality: Homosexual
Crush: -dull, unenthusiastic response- Nathan Fillion.
Do I appear to be the sort who has one?

Personality: In a few words, Cian's a kind-hearted prodigy who's been condition into a cynic. He's essentially raised himself, with only a few fictional characters on tv to look up to as role-models, which has lead to him having only a rough understanding of how best to deal with people. He veers towards being paranoid more often than not, and he isn't capable of communicating without using sarcasm or dull understatements as a veil for his emotions. Because he's been stuck on his own for so long, he has become very stubborn and is fiercely self-reliant. Don't try to undermine his independence, or he'll be brought into a horrible mood. In spite of his facade, he's severely insecure. It's a contradiction that he doesn't want discovered- the more insecure he feels in a situation, the more confident he'll try to act. He holds himself together through his displays of dignity. If he ever lost that, the consequences could result in a mental breakdown.

He has a very mature mind-set and goes out of his way to take as rational of an approach to a situation as is available to him. There are times when he'll lose his temper same as anyone else, but he's able to control what type of anger he displays well enough that he rarely, if ever, panics in a fight. However, he's prone to bouts of social anxiety when placed in situations where he feels that he's cornered or otherwise at risk. (These tend to be triggered by people who are behaving too friendly) It's a rarity to see him smile. If amused, it's far more common for him to use subtlety- a smirk tends to be the best you'll get out of him.

Weapons: Knives, A pole-arm which unfolds from his cane (it's a rough equivalent to a halberd with a fan of continued spikes on one end instead of a single, clean blade), or as a last resort, a semi-automatic revolver. He's also very adept with poisons and considers them a specialty of sorts- when he uses a common knife it's rarely 'just a knife'. For that matter, when he uses guns, the bullets are rarely just plain metal as well...
He's constantly inventing gadgets, so it won't be surprising if he starts developing new weaponry that's better suited to the combat style here once he knows what he wants to expel... out of all his abilities, his skill in invention is the one he's the second most comfortable utilizing.
Powers: Cian's right eye is able to catch and interpret electric and electrochemical impulses- giving him partial influence over electronics and possibly people. In plain English, this means he is technopathic and is able to cast all-consuming illusions on any or all of the five senses, with the additional effect of influencing the basic emotional impulses (pain, pleasure, happiness and depression, namely) His right eye is something he can control with effort, but it takes energy to do and its essentially trapped in a constant mode-lock, hence the eye-patch.
He is also perceived as being unbelievably agile- because he's actually not that quick at all. Cian is able to manipulate time by speeding or slowing it down at will, while he himself is almost 'frozen' in it. By channeling his blood through a specifically designed device and "interfacing" with it, he is able to travel through time and dimensions. While this also takes energy (specifically from food) this is more useful in combat than one might originally think it could be, especially when one counts for the benefit that speeding his perception boosts his recovery rate for basic bruises and cuts.
It is potentially implied that he has some sort of direct control over electricity, but its' never been proven to be the case. He's consistently channeling those types of abilities through something.- typically the eMP or the switch-torch, both of which are found a little further down this page.

Biography: isn't something that he discusses easily. To state it in the most basic way that still tells the story, he was born to a drug-addicted prostitute living in London. She tried to come clean after having her child, and a few times after that as well, but she never stuck to the idea when she had it. Seven years later, the crumbs of food she had to feed him weren't enough to justify the risk of being around a manic, neglectful, dangerous environment and he ended up a street urchin struggling to get by while striving not to be found.
He only had two positive influences in his life- one woman who let him sneak into the store she helped to manage to sleep somewhere safe and get decent food twice a week, and the people on television. Four years of this lifestyle passed with no end in immediate sight and the dangers growing worse every day. Then, one of the early mornings when he was about to sneak out of the woman's store, she was assaulted by a gang. He defended her, or tried to, and managed to create a diversion so she could leave while getting himself cornered on accident. The next thing he knew, everyone was unconscious and writhing in pain, and he was just sitting there with a knife through his leg and a burn over his face.
The woman brought him to a hospital when he passed out. He never saw her again afterwords. When she left, the police showed up to start questioning him about who he was and where he was supposed to be. His powers activated again, freezing the whole hospital. He left in a daze, so as not to get caught, and started to come to enough of a realization about what was happening to understand he didn't have to be normal if he didn't want to. He started learning how to control his powers.
Another two years passed, and he's still a b*****d street urchin with no idea who his father was or what he really his, aside from his status as a time-traveling hobo with an incomplete map of how to use his device properly. In spite of the crap this means he has to deal with, he's relatively okay with this status.
He's settled down at the temple temporarily (as of the past few days) in order to learn more about this particular dimension and its inhabitants.

Other: Cian does have more of a reason to handle the cane than just his posture. His left leg's nerves were damaged in the same incident that awakened his powers, and it seems to be the one type of wound that's impervious to being healed (since those nerves never regenerate). He can walk on it without the cane for a while if he tries to, especially if he can balance his weight with a weapon during a fight, but it still takes its toll.
Also, his biological make-up is proof that he isn't quite human or quite a demon. He can be assisted by healing charms for some injuries, but others are fully unresponsive, and the difference between his and normal neurological responses make him impervious to most forms of mind-reading unless someone specifically trains to read him.
Rarely, if ever, goes without his camel brown trench-coat. It's his prized possession.
Cian is constantly working on his gadgets, which is arguably his biggest skill. He often upgrades any electronic devices he has, and his arsenal will vary, but there are three types of tools he uses the most commonly.
    * eMP 'electric-driven Mobile Port', is what he calls the little box with a bunch of lights and switches on it that he carries in his pocket. It's a black device with a single screen that's roughly the size of a folded nintendo DS. By setting in the correct coordinates and charging it with a special battery that contains part of his blood as the power source, he is able to use his time ability at a higher level and greater accuracy to 'travel' through time, parallel worlds, ect. It is a prototype- the final product is meant to have more features and exist on a larger scale.
    * the pocketcase is a device that uses the empty space between worlds as easily accessible storage by technically existing in multiple places at once. It's basically a storage house in a convenient messenger-bag shape. The only special thing that it does is give him a really nice place to hide during tag and hold all his stuff.
    * the switch-torch is similar to what you might think it sounds like, and yet not quite. It's a highly concentrated source of power around a metal coil that creates a steady, slim, sharp beam or edge of heat. It will ignite if exposed to enough oxygen. He has a portable one in development that's roughly the size of a pen and, upon completion will have other purposes such as stunning or confusing victims on different settings. The basic prototype of the coil is set around the edge of his halberd's blade, which heats the whole thing up enough to burn the victim but not melt the metal.

Name: άσπρος Θήτα || Aspros Theta
Age: Nineteen
Gender: Male
Race: Chameleon Demon
Weight: 155 lbs
Height: 5'11"
Hair Color White
Eye Color Red
Personality: Theta excels at putting on the front of a collected individual when it suits his cause, but he is severely psychotic and lacks the device that most people would view as being 'a conscience'. He is a very selfish person who prefers to think of all other people as being either devices for his own entertainment or completely useless creatures that would probably be better off boiling in a pot somewhere than taking up all his space. As one could probably figure out based on that, he's also quite egotistical. There are certain instances when he'll display a desire for power, but most of the time he's more like a child with a bunch of action figures, a sand box and a grenade- he's out to do what's interesting. And anyone who deserves to live through it should be smart enough to get out of the way or strong enough to put up a struggle. He tends to flip-flop between being an excellent strategist and a spontaneous sadist with just about enough frequency to come across as short-term bipolar.
Appearance(s): One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six.
Weapons: Theta's a firm believer in the theory of using whatever's on hand to do the job for spontaneous events.
However, if he has the time to prepare, he doesn't come unarmed. He alternates between using a flail (spiky ball on a chain attached to a stick) and a bladed whip
Powers: Reversal/Negative Imaging: His skillset adapts to reflect the opposing element of his opponents' skillset, like a photograph is developed from the exact opposite colors. His element or whatever changes every time but there is a system that determines it, so he keeps the same element for whoever he's facing and it only shifts if their projected abilities shift. His energy level also adapts to equal whoever he's near last. His ability is reset every time that he comes into contact with a compatible form of ki.
It's worth noting that any ability without an elemental opposite can react in two ways - it will either be copied identically (as dark magic would) or it will be rejected as incompatible because it's not a demonic skill and his aura will set right back to its previous state (as it would with light magic / angelic abilities)
Integration : He is capable of consuming souls. Once eaten, the soul's knowledge and memories are added to his mind. Aspects of a target's personality will slowly accumulate and, if strong enough, will very occasionally influence him.
Their Life: Theta was one of those many demons who never had parents. His mother was a victim of thinking too highly of herself during a red moon in makai, and his father wouldn't have had the honor to stick around anyway. His mother resented him, but she did take a step further in the proper direction by not abandoning him as a small child- she assumed that it would be more effective to keep him around as a pet bodyguard. He was trained from birth to be a warrior, and wasn't shown much affection. He's pretty much forgotten those days entirely. What he remembers is what follows.
Workers for Reikai raided the village with the intention of specifically stirring up some trouble to provoke the demons into being violent enough to prove that they needed to be restrained. Some of the demons were killed. The weaker and younger ones were captured. His mother ran away, but he survived, to be taken to the brainwashing facility. His best weapon saved him, but it also wasn't effective enough to completely override the attempts at persuading him to be a threat when he was finally dropped back off to try and sneak through one of the portals in the demon world to the human world. His name is the same as the number that was placed on his cage while he was detained in spirit world.
It's been about two months since Theta traveled into the human world from the demon world. He's never been captured, and he's been under the control of the previous influence for so long that there's practically no chance of anything managing to override the directive that he's been taught to pursue since he was less than ten. Theta has given the task a few modifications, though. He dislikes humanity- it's reikai he despises. The more damage he can do to them without running a risk for himself, the better.
Other: At the moment, no, that sums it up.
Parents: Deceased
Theme song: " Three Evils (Embodied in Love And Shadow)" - Coheed and Cambria || "Climbing Up The Walls" - Radiohead
Crush: Someone would be worthy? Feh, that's a laugh.
