Elves?
They are perfection, angels that have fallen from grace
Child stealing monsters who have no souls
A race who have remorse though it is often hard to find
They are beautiful and kind they just want to help
  Elves are Santa's helpers

I'm reading Nancy Farmers latest "Into the land of the Silver Apples" it's a sequel to Sea of Trolls, and I have noticed a lot of similarities between this book and Tithe and was wondering if anyone noticed it too. Also the disenchantment of Elves has been a continuous theme in books recently. Does anyone have any other books that are similar, or are against the perfect beauty of Elves and their love of abducting children?

I haven't noticed any disenchantment of elves, but I have noticed that they are becoming more realistic. They are no longer described as perpetually happy and carefree, that they are begining to have more depth to them as a race.
