~Valentines~Day~Artness!!

Seeing as Errol is uber busy, I've decided to take over the Valentines Day Event. Though I admit, I'll need help.

So. This thread will be for both sign ups and Tips/ideas.

Be sure to keep those creative juices flowing!!!!

The deadline for signing up will have to be Monday.
A week should be enough time to draw up a valentine?

Deadline's here. If you havent signed up by 5:00PM EST, then maybe next time. I should have you're 'Valentine' by 9:30ishPM EST. (I have class till 9:00)

PM all submissions to me by 11:59 EST 13Feb. Please, please, please get them in on time.

The submissions will be up around 4:30~5:00 ish EST. Blame the Physics Gods. sigh. Thank god it's my last quarter of physics... aaannnyyyways.

Ideas.
Use Michaelangelo's David or Venis D'Milo as reference.
Grade school valentine cards, complete with cheesy saying/theme. (ex: "I Choo choo choose you!" with a picture of a cartoon train.)
Pairing up, or the raindomness like the Secret Santa event.

By (it seems) popular suggestion...? I believe we are going to do the Elementary Valentines. biggrin

I'll have the matches tomorrow, and I"ll have someone(probably you Errol) help me with the matching up thing... ;__;

I'm gonna go ahead and do pairs, since there's an even number of us. So, the element of surprise is taken out, kinda... And, as I might have spelled the names wrong in the messages, Be sure to get the correct spellings please.... smile

Suggestion: Grade school valentine cards, complete with cheesy saying/theme. (ex: "I Choo choo choose you!" with a picture of a cartoon train.)

It's got to be childishly innocent and must have some kind of caption that works with the picture.


We have to decide on this fast though. The first is tomorrow. At the same time, those cards are very simple in color and design so I'm guessing it won't take more than 1-4 hours to do.

I wouldn't let the color your attitude towards exchange events. The people that flaked on us won't be involved in any more of them here.

I think we should try and make a decision by the 4th. That way, we have ten days.

I would suggest a valentine comic of any kind too, but ten days is kind of short notice. (Also, I cheated cause I already have 2 of 3 pages roughed and I'm almost ready to start the final pencils. Haha.

I'm still going with the school valentine thing. It's simple, small format for a card, so it should be fast, but still come out really well.

I say we choose the idea and whoever wants to participate can. We don't even need to track, just post your work (here I guess, unless Yuri wants them PMed so she can post them all together) on the 14th.
