In spite of my love-hate relationship with the idea of entering the political arena, it has been a long-running joy of mine to see political figures made to suffer. Intelligent politicians being made to suffer for their poor policy, and unintelligent politicians being put into positions of stress from which their substandard cognitive abilities are made clear.
I'm using this thread to collect examples for my own viewing pleasure, and I invite any of you to submit your own examples.
A favourite target of mine are politicians like Bob Ainsworth; unintelligent men from anti-intellectual backgrounds who achieved promotion by being not only yes-men, but by being incapable of bringing the moral arguments to bear from which one can dissent.
