Have at, if it's in the news, in the media, or otherwise something that bothers you that's political, feel free to say what you wish. If you don't agree, feel free to DEBATE an issue, but it has to be an intelligent debate, not a "because I say so" argument.
Think that the US should stop fighting a war? Think that taxes are too high? Think Bush isn' a capable leader? Post your opinions and thoughts.

I love to debate. Great idea ^^
However, can I put a disclaimer on this? If so, WARNING: Contents will be cynical, sarcastic, mean, or all of the above when poster is tired. NOTE: Person posting is always tired.
Okay, so here we go: 1.)Should US stop fighting the war? No duh. It's absolutely pointless. Wrong war, wrong place. Amen. 2.)Are taxes too high? Probably. I don't know. I don't pay taxes. Yet... 3.)Is Bush a capable leader? *explodes in laughter* If I had my way, he'd be in special ed. for presidents by now. He's lucky his stupid a** was better than his competitors. Actually, who knows if we even elected him last time. But the world is so corrupt at this point, he would've won one way or another.
Woohoo. My opinions.

Those were just a few examples I threw out for starters, so feel free to post about politics anywhere around the world, and what's happening locally for you too if you would like to. ^_^

Heh, okay. I don't know what's happening where I am, because I don't live here. I pretty much debate national things anyway.

*rubs hands in glee* mwahahaaaa a place to put my opinons of the world today without haveing my dad spouting his wierdo right wing crap at me xd Yup I'm British, but I'm not going to put UK politics in here because most Americans have no idea there are *gasp* other countries outside of America, let alone how they are goverened. Any problems with my views on the world? Talk to my mod bat and my acid tounge.
ah George dubya frankly I have no idea why he was elected. To me it is proof that many Americans have no idea how to govern themselves (the californians elected arnie for ******** sake!! thus proving that if the guy is already famous he'll be voted in, in America stare ) The guy just doesn't give a s**t that other countries dont want america's pollution and acid rain falling on us. I don't want to have to wear protective bio-hazard suits when I'm older because America's ******** up the planet even more because in order for America to accumulate even more money it has to destroy the rainforests and pour even more carbon monoxide into the air (I love nature, it is the greatest thing on the earth, I don't apreciate it being damaged one little bit - if I see someone dropping litter I shove it in their mouths, what do you think I want to do to people who're turning the sky yellow?) me not happy at Dubya stare

heh, personally i keep leaning more and more towards anarchy and let the chaos begin a new government, however i claim myself as an independant. i cant really swing both ways, however i have normally liked the republican presidents and people in office much more than the others. sorry if thats a bad thing now, to not hate the president, but meh, somebody's gotta like him, lol.

Dubya is a dumbass with a famous parent, who just happened to get himself elected. He's a ******** scumbag to me. If he exploded and/or died in some grotesque way, I would laugh my a** off.
And America really has ******** up nature. This is part of the reason why I'm so detached from life. I don't give a damn anymore, basically because we've set ourselves up for a long, hard fall and there's nothing anyone can do about it. People don't give a flying ******** if their car will be the reason we have greenhouse gasses. People will laugh at you if you try to tell them that oil isn't worth it and we should find some other source of power for cars and such. People are assholes nowadays. Now, there are the exceptions, and those people aren't that bad at all. But most people care more about themselves than Earth's future. It's so ******** up to me I see no point in caring, because it's just another reason you should kill yourself. If we keep this up, you'll never have a future anyway.

It's so ******** up to me I see no point in caring, because it's just another reason you should kill yourself. If we keep this up, you'll never have a future anyway.I would have to say my own personal opinions are that Bush is simply a puppet of his father, carrying out his father's agenda and has no real goals or ambitions of his own. I feel that the way the war was excecuted is a perfect example not only of his lack of free will and personal opinions in the matter, but also of how arrogent and blind to the needs of his country. As for the country....well there is a reason why the rest of the world can't stand "noisy amercians".... *sigh* geijin a term used for outsider in japanese that also can be translated to barbarian... I particularly dislike but have resigned myself to the fact that since america is the society of "me" or "i" that most people in it will never really understand other nations. That is why I hold much respect for nations like japan where the focus is on "we" or "us" as a team. I suppose I personally would be much more satisfied with our government if things would move more towards a socialist bent in all honesty. If health care was a bit more like in canada and it wasn't insanely exensive to be sick, I would be rather happy. I despise how horribly exorbanant the medical field and it expenses have become due to lawsuits and just plain greed. Averice is definatly an enemy of the common people who struggle enough as it is mearly to get by. Another reason why I dislike the current regime. Bush doesn't care about the common man in any way shape or form. People are quickly being priced out of being able to afford the gas that powers their cars, and with very few alternatives to their transportation needs, I fear that soon people are going to either be starving due to having to cut already slender grocery budgets, or are going to be laid off for being unable to attend work. In the time Bush has been in office, the gas prices have risen considerably, and I feel as though he is doing more to help line the pockets of his friends in texas who profit off of the oil revenue than to avenge the deaths of fallen citizens. Well, that is a good chunk of my personal veiws for the moment. I'm sure there will be more to come later on.

War is stupid and I think it's sad that humans have no other way to solve things than to blow up each others countries. I think socialism is also stupid, especially if you want freedom. I used to be an Anarchist until I realized that burning the symbol in your yard is hardly going to tear down a govermental system that has been that way for-ev-er. Instead of ripping it down and creating a new goverment, we should concentrate on the things that need a fixin. Bush is an idiot and I can't believe America reelected him. *waits for 2009*

lurichan I would have to say my own personal opinions are that Bush is simply a puppet of his father, carrying out his father's agenda and has no real goals or ambitions of his own. I feel that the way the war was excecuted is a perfect example not only of his lack of free will and personal opinions in the matter, but also of how arrogent and blind to the needs of his country. *sighs* Dubya snr. the great puppet master bent on a killing spree how much fun was that.... lurichan As for the country....well there is a reason why the rest of the world can't stand "noisy amercians".... The greater reason why the rest of the world don't like Americans is that most are arrogant, up their own arses and frankly unpleasant (there are a minority of Americans that aren't like this, who are actually aware that America isn't the only country in the world - I like them) lurichan If health care was a bit more like in canada and it wasn't insanely exensive to be sick, I would be rather happy. I despise how horribly exorbanant the medical field and it expenses have become due to lawsuits and just plain greed. well health care here is completely free (well we pay for it in taxes) but people still b***h that the NHS is s**t....what would they rather do pay unbeleivably high bills?! To me it seems there are only two ways most Americans deal with things: shoot something, sue someone...... lurichan Bush doesn't care about the common man in any way shape or form. People are quickly being priced out of being able to afford the gas that powers their cars, and with very few alternatives to their transportation needs meh here it's 90 pence a litre.....anyone have a conversion table?.......*failed maths* anyway it's waaaaay more than it is in America and with America's fascination with environmentally un-friendly cars (gas-guzzlers) all cars would be at the bottom of lakes in America if prices were the same..... Britain is pretty much treasure island; everything is really expensive here. As you say (or are forced to...) God bless America......
