a while ago a kid and i wear talking about music and he asked me what i listen to so i told him

mcr, p!atd, Fob, green day, pencey prep, beasty boys, madona, cobra starship, afi, daft punks, the academy is, gym class heros, boys like girls, paramore, the killer sand a loads of other stuff. those are just some.

he said "DuDE they all suck!"

me: why?
him: thier all whiny and thier sound sucks balls
me: ....well just becaus you dont like them doesnt mean you have to go and be a a fart face
him: fart face? pfft dude, go listen to some good music
me: i already am

it basicaly went down hill from thier

pisses me off. he asked then he starts bashing me for it. i mean i would understand if i asked him "what do you think of the music i like?" but he asks me then started bashing me for it! if you arent gonna be polite dont freakin ask! pisses me off.

I used to be hated for liking MCR. But that was like. Two years ago. (I'm an MCR fan of three years.. The first year they weren't big, the they released Helena. xd )
Now everyone at my school doesn't care. Atleast, if they do, they don't express it, because they know that I won't really fight back, but I'll make a good point that will make them go "O_O" or something. wink

It's just something you're going to have to live with if you really care about 'em.

I had a situation just like that.

A idiot jack but came up to me in the middle of class. I'm a proud looking memeber of MCR that day, wearing the Three Cheers suit I constucted myself.

Him-"You know Gerard is gay, right?"
Me- "Does it matter? He makes good music."
Him-"He and his music are GAY!!!!"
Me- "GET AWAY FROM ME!!!!!"

It kinda went down hill from there.... sweatdrop
I promise there was no fight but I screamed alot. It resulted in me saying u don't see me insulting ur stuff, but he was like "Who doesn't like the Misfits???"

Sorry, but I don't really like the Misfits, but I DON"T FLAME AT THEM!!!. I listened to clips and everything but this guy ammited to never even listenning to MCR!!!!!

I'm like Trocks an MCR fa of 3 years and I have to agree no one cares at my college...I mean the only people who take the piss are my friends...and to be honest I know I can be just as bad about FOB and Green Day...and P!ATD sweatdrop but the thing is I bet you can be nasty about genre's you hate.

EG things like 50 cent...I mean I know it can be annoying but you just have to say what you said 'i like them...you don't well f*** (I censor!) you!' I know it sucks but it's a fact of life

Everyone is alowed to like what they want... I hate rap and hip hop but I'm not going to go off at someone for liking it...
No one I know really cares what music I like, except my brother... but I don't really care what he thinks... xd

I can't really say that I've had that happen to me, but I know my friends somewhat critize my choice of music. Yeah, it really sucks, but oh well. I'll never say "I hate (or dislike) MCR" or any of my other favorite bands. Why give up when you can put up a strong fight with reasons why MCR is a great band?

Hmm... That's happened to me a lot before, there's always those people who say that "Ugh, My Chemical Romance is emo" or "Ugh, have you heard them live?" or "Ugh, that &^%* sucks" and ... I couldn't care less about those people. I just shrug it off and listen to their garbage answers.

If everyone liked the same kind of music, then what's the point? They're entitled to think what they want, but I know that there's a reason why My Chemical Romance's lyrics and sound appeal to me.

I'm not emo, abused, an outcast, or alone but I still love My Chem.
And that's it.

I wouldn't get worked up about that sort of thing...people have their opinions and they like to express it, I know it makes you really angry when people flame you for what you like..especially when they ask you in the first place...I know how you feel...just don't let it get to you...If they don't like you for who you are and who you like then they can go ******** themselves. Besides, the bands themselves...esp My Chem go through the same thing....even more so...so you aren't alone...Just stick up for what matters...yourself and your taste in music and don't give a s**t about what other people think.
