Well I've got into drawing a few years back. Probably around three to four years ago. And most of my creations, if I'm allowed to call them such, are usually head shots. Like this one for example.

But I'm growing tired of just being able to make a good portrait. I want to expand my horizons and draw better fuller bodies without having too many mistakes and deformations in the way. So please give me some advice or two.

Hmm...have you tried drawing stick figure actions first? It's good to make thumbnails for your works of art. With just a stick figure, you can make a variety of poses from your imagination and then refine the stick figure into actual figures.

Don't be afraid of drawing what you're not used to and don't be afraid of making any mistakes in the first place because people generally learn from their mistakes.

And if you're having troubles with proportions, this site seems like a good start.
