Lol there's nothing wrong with quitting. If you really think you're going to come back, then just go on a long break, and come back whenever you feel like it. You don't HAVE to give everything away o_o

I'm somewhat on a quit/hiatus as of now.

Maple isn't the only game hun.

Maple isn't the only way to have fun.

Perhaps get a boyfriend, go to mall, see a movie, HANG OUT WITH REAL FRIENDS.

Computer games aren't the only source of fun.

Don't let them control your life, play them for fun, in spare time.

Don't make spare time all the time.

Seriously, go have fun with real life friends and such.

Don't neglect either type of friend, real life, or online game friends.

But really, there isn't anything wrong with quitting.

Perhaps someone may find something even more addicting and fun then maple story?

I disagree with that part of your statement. I find Maple enjoyable. A game is what you make of it. Maple is online entertainment. I don't think I'd call it an addiction tho... I'll play a couple of times a week... but it doesn't really rule my life or make me want more of it when I dont have it.... of course... I can't really define addiction either, so whatever. sweatdrop

Well, it may be enjoyable to you, but when the only fun you find in game is just talking to your friends, then yeah.

The game sucks.

After 2 and 1/3 years, I think I know what the hell I'm talking about.

When you get right down to it, Maple is just like any other game.

But what keeps us here, and not other games?

Perhaps the addiction.

Maple is addicting, many people will admit.

As to why people get addicted, it may be for many different reasons.

Theres just something weird about Maple, and how it can hold tightly onto people.

I sure am glad I don't play it much anymore.

I've actually had time to play other fun online games, which I may have never known about, if I didn't get away from Maple.

I actually hang out with my friends on more frequent occasions.

I actually play my console games again.

I actually enjoy myself, in many different activities, then how I only enjoyed myself talking and fiddling around with my online friends.

Friends.

Thats why I was addicted I would have to say.

Maple may be enjoyable for you now, but eventually, EVENTUALLY, it won't be.

Even if you just grow out of it due to age, you won't enjoy it forever.

You can't force people to keep playing maplestory. I'm too stressed of playing maplestory, but I'm still playing it & stuff. Maple's boring, because I've been playing it a long time ago. Nothing seems to change, but I'm taking a break from Maple. Cya! Good luck with this thread!

You making us stay? I don't see any proof that you did.

And also make your thoughts more clear since I had to read through your post 3 times before I finally got through understanding. I really don't want to be a grammar nazi on these terms.

Fun? That's our own choices.

Having fun? Guides? We can do that ourselves. Don't treat us like children even though I still am.

I've quit Maple and have found that I'm somewhat glad I had.
Sure, from time to time, I miss playing it and talking to my friends, But I've found other games which have also been just as fun.

Maple was fun to start off with, then it just ran on addiction D;
What goes up, Must come down.

And I think, we know what we want.

People quit for several reasons, you know.



You haven't given any valid reasons why someone shouldn't quit, either. Fun? Sure, but people who quit just aren't getting fun out of it anymore; otherwise, there REAL life is suffering. There's a lot more to life and more 'fun' things to do than Maplestory.
