I read the novella a while back and was excited to see it being made into a movie. I thought that the characters were well cast (especially Marcia Gay Harden as Mrs. Carmody.) Also I thought that the new ending was very intense and good.

I really have to see that movie...
there must be some way around that "Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult" thing without letting my dad know that I saw it...

The ending for the movie was sad, but funny at the same time.

I'm sure I'm going to get beat down for saying it. . . but I sorta feel like Stephen King has run outta good topics

I read the story, but I loved the twist the film had. I NEVER would have been able to do that.

atsuko_15 I read the story, but I loved the twist the film had. I NEVER would have been able to do that. I totally agree! I think I would have rather just sat there and waited for the monsters to come.

I have read in an article that Stephen King liked the movie's ending more than the one he wrote.

I thought that the movie didn't really live up to King's name.... the movie was more of a joke than anything else.... nothing too new about it.
Even though I haven't read the book, I'll just say that it's better. =]

So I suppose you should say that King didn't live up the King's name, go read the novella.

I actually really liked this film Usually most of the movies they make out of his novels are horrible I even liked the ending, it was nice not to see a typical hollywood ending
I really do enjoy Stephen King's books... most of them. But it seems his latest have not been my taste anyway. The whole Cell with the the zombies taking over through cell phones. Ihavent actually read it but one of my friends was telling me about it.
