*A filk is a parody of an existing song written on a new theme, much like Weird Al Yankovic's music.

Saphira the Dragon

(Sung to Frosty the Snowman)

Saphira the dragon
is a beauty to behold
with sparkle eyes and jewel blue scales
and a spiky six foot tail

The dragons of old
are a fairy tale they say
They were made of dreams
But it would seem
That they came to life one day

There must have been a hatchling
in that odd blue stone he found
For when he brought it home that day
it began to bounce around

Saphira the dragon
blew a puff of pretty smoke
The dwarves would tell
she could drink as well
and it made a quite good joke

Saphira the dragon
knew the hunt was hot that day
So she said lets fly
now to say good bye
to the friends from better days

Off to the forest
with her rider on her back
She soared over the trees, and like a swarm of bees
the Urgals followed fast

She plunged right in the canopy
passed fir trees large and tall
and didn't even pause a moment
through a freezing waterfall

Saphira the dragon
knew she could not stay
so she snapped and burned
until all concerned
were hurried on their way
