Beauty and Truth are two completely different concepts. Why are you comparing them?

Well, then, there should be little question for you, sir.
You've outed Keats, so I ask you once more "Beauty or truth?"

Perhaps you prefer words with more letters, if you need a reason to pick one.
Beauty and truth are comparable. If you so prefer it replace such terms with fact and opinion or ignorant-bliss and knowledge.

Think you truly that there is no similarity in them?

I came to steal your heart away...
Honestly most of us would want to stay blissfully un-aware but having the courage to stand up and say "I want the truth" and fight with your whole being for it is truely a beautiful thing so I choose truth

hn,

most people believe that beautiful people can do no wrong---like with celebrities, perhaps?

(heh, i dont, but thats beside the point)

Truth is always best, id rather have that almost more than intelegence, actually...

hehe! and yes, there is beauty in truth~ heart

I think that it is interesting that all of you interpret this to be in a person.
What of life?
What of existence?

This is what a boy that I know wrote when I asked him (colour coded for convenience):
him: beauty
hands down

me: Hm
(Sorry, I was just wondering)
Why beauty?

him: that's just the way i am
truth is absolute
and inarguable

me: And beauty is not?
him: beauty is subjective, and equatable to happiness
which is more important than anything

thats interesting.
But beauty can lie---and decieve---there are a lot of men out there that can vouch for that.

yes, what he said was true, but beautys not written in stone---and provides only fleeting comfort and solice.

I'd still rather the truth. >:3

"Beauty is the snake which grasps our world. We shall someday cast this being down; Until then, we submit to it willingly."

This is a quote by my favorite person... Myself...

I revere truth over all. It's true I lie-but only to preserve the happpiness people see in life.

Lovely, Kilik, but I wish to put reference in your words.
"Truth is the snake which taunts us to indulge in its fruit, but the flavour turns bitter in our mouths as we are cast from our paradise."

Beauty within makes beauty without. Truth is a part of that, but is not the entire picture. I know and love people on Gaia, even though I hath never seen them before. 'Tis the beauty of their words and their attitudes which draw me to them. Beauty is powerful that way; ever reaching, ever touching, beauty is attainable by all things in the world.

Truth, however, is a double-edged sword. It can be fabricated, twisted, altered, or used out of context to enforce any ideal. It can hurt one to tell the truth, and it can hurt others to tell the truth. The truth can cause as much discord as it can harmony. It is an ideal, an illusion we keep in our heads as a standard, in all senses of the word. It is different for every person, though, and conflicting standards often mean battle of some sort. The truth is the wolf in sheep's clothing. It is equal to its opposite.

Therefore, my vote is for beauty.
