Yesterday before the update I found this quite amuseing that people would think, people are dumb enough to give them there ID,Password, and Pin Number. Well anyhow this is quite exact close Story and DIalog of what happened...oh and no I don't remember the guys Ign o.o

well he said it with bad english...and such but I can't stand those short cuts to certain words like..."u" xD it bothers me.

Unkown Person - I am a GM and I require your IGN, Password and Pin now
Me: lmfao o.o

Unkown Person - If you don't give me your ign pass and pin I will ban you.
Me: lmfao o.o Maple Story Clearly States that they will never ask you for your account information ever.

anyhow I found it rather amuseing that some kids can't just level there own darn accounts, with out trying to steal someone elses. Which by this kids terrible attempt to get my information kinda made me laugh..o.o;

hehe, u had a great response. I actually go along with it, raising up their hopes, then destroying their hopes. Like a kid tried to get me to give him a bunch of my stuff, so i put all my godly stuff in the trade, as well as all my money. Then he was all like "press blahblah and type COPY and it will duplicate your items". Then I paused for a moment, and typed "I did, it didn't work!" and we kept arguing, its so funny.

That have never happpened to me but it really is amusing how some people think we are that stupid. But there are some nine years old children playing maple. There is a possiblilty they might fall into the trap. So maybe the guy thinks that its worth a try. Lolz. That is if nobody reports him first.

Whether I ask or not doesn't matter and causes no harm, why lecture me on asking? razz As a forum moderator over the years, I've adopted a posting style to hint at what one should've done in a situation (to subtly remind people they should be reporting people, in this case). Now, why I asked shouldn't matter; nor does it matter if she answers or not.


On-topic: I've only had that happen to me on Maple a couple times, surprisingly. It happens to me more often on Gaia and phishing e-mails trying to get the password to the bank account of mine that doesn't exist. Sometimes I like to mess with them, but usually I don't give them the time of day. It's always fun to see how far they're willing to take it though. xP

On Gaia one time, this guy posed as my friend saying his main got banned and he wanted to "share" my account with him. I didn't think much of it up until he suggested that. I spent two days PMing him back and forth, asking him questions my friend should be able to answer; and the guy failed badly. So I confronted him with how he just answered every question wrong, quoted the entire PM and forwarded it to a Moderator. xP

I've seen that happen a lot ot me on Gaia. On MS, I only really have ever gotten "Wanna trade accounts?" or "I'll buy your account"
