Two of my friends told me the other day that it looked as if I have lost weight. I'm pretty sure I haven't, but don't you love it when people tell you stuff like that? It pretty much made my day.
In other news, I LOVE the gym. I'm up to 6 min jogging out of my half an hour on the treadmill, and then the elipitcal machine for another half an hour. Or the cool bikes.
And I'm not dying on the end of my jogging anymore!
So how is everyone?

Good for you! That means you're making progress.
It's easier for someone else to notice weight-loss than yourself.
I know.
I can't jog for more than 16 minutes on a treadmill without throwing up. You're running, but not moving! I have motion sickness or something. I don't know. xD

heart You may not be losing weight, but you could be replacing the fat with muscle. Ruzique is right, though. My uncle always lets me know that I'm "looking good" when he can tell that I've been working on losing weight.

Complements are always good, too. Big boost for motivation. =D

yeah it's hard for me to notice, but when i stood in front of the mirror today i could see a difference.

I don't see much difference in the way I look. I can tell that I've only got one chin now, which is quite nice, but with the body-covering clothing I wear, it's hard to see much of a difference in my silhouette. However, I do notice that the way the clothes feel and look, if I look at details instead of silhouette.

I got a new job, saved up three paychecks, and spend the whole lot on new clothing about a year and a half ago. Some of the clothes fit perfectly well and some were a wee bit tight. I lost weight until they were hanging off me. Rather than replace them, I saved myself 60% to 80% of the cost by having them tailored down to my new size.

Now they're hanging off me again. smile If I have them tailored a second time, though, they'll start to look funny, so it's time to shop for new clothes. It'll be weird for me. I'm still wearing skirts, for example, that say they're size 3XL, but according to the size chart on the websites where I buy my clothes, I'm now just a 'regular' Large instead of triple-extra-large. My plan is to get down to a Medium. At my height, bone structure, and muscle mass, that'll be just about right for me, without getting thin enough to become anti-good-health.

But you bring up a great point: Not every measure of weight loss success can be found on the scale. Sometimes you're you're toning up your muscles (which are more dense and therefore more heavy than fat), losing fat, and thus becoming thinner without losing actual pounds. Redistributing weight -- stronger arms and legs, a tighter abdomen, less of a belly, less jiggly arm fat, less thunder-thigh -- is fantastic, and it definitely shows to other people's eyes. I honestly didn't think I looked at all different from before, even after losing over 50 pounds, because I looked at myself every day and the change was so gradual. But then I put on the same outfit I'd been wearing in a picture my mom took of me, and had her take another picture of me in the same pose, and I really do look amazingly different. You should put on your "fat clothes" and see if they fit more loosely now. It'll give you a great boost of self-esteem and motivation.

My German professor told me the other day that the change I'd made was amazing and that I look so much better now than I did even last year when I'd already (some how) managed to shave 15lbs off my 160lb heighest weight.

I'm also having a similar (happy) dilemma as Divash. It seems like everytime I buy new clothing, within a few months, everything's sagging! I won't complain in any way at all, but it is frustrating when nothing fits. x3 Whenever I go to buy new clothes, everything's either way too big or just a pinch too small, so naturally I'd buy the things that were just a twinge too small, and that always motivated me to keep on with the progress... and then, like I said, everything is sagging within a few months. x3 Like the shirt I'm wearing today... I bought it not but 3 months ago and it already needs to be taken in about a quarter inch on each side. x3
