What the best Magician?

I ll have to make a decision later, but i heard fire magicians do more damege, and that celtic are ok but not really useful in the cold places. and celtic, i dont know how is that better? im more an attacker than a healer.

I have play rpg for a long time and th healers are the weaker , emo

so what you recommend?

dude, they aint called celtics lol. its cleric >.> im a cleric, and i g2 say that having heal helps ALOT. u dont have to waste money on pots and ur pretty much garanteed into a pq party or any party generally cus everyone needs a cleric. i would say cleric is better. if not, then next would be i/l. they got an ice attack that can freeze the enemy, which might not sound useful, but it is. lots of monsters have magic attacks, with the freeze attack, they wont be able to use their attacks on u. and they got lightning, which attacks many monsters around you.

Why not just look at the skills?

The summon dragon skill is a priest (3rd job) skill...

So yeah...

Magician > Cleric > Priest.

Hey can clerics do damage? i heard something about a dragon.

i think all mages do the same damage with magic claw... not sure, but once u get max holy arrow, it does alot of damage, as well as like x2 damage when u attack undead monsters. also a good thing about cleric, is its heal not only heals u and ur party members, but it can attack undead monsters (zombies, zombie mushroom, chronos, wraith, etc.) but there are party and solo builds. most clerics would choose party build tho.

Thanks for the website and for your posts, I wanted to be a fire wizard but now i know that i sont want to puke a green poisonous bubble to attack a monster.

F/P are the best :p; Better damage, etc. You don't HAVE to use poison brace o.o I don't. Except when I'm playing around with my friend, but only 'cause he's pure poison.

Clerics are nice. I had one. But I screwed her stats up since she was my first character, so I don't know the true potential of one.

My I/L is only level 38, so I don't know the full strength of one either. I could borrow my friend's level 68, I guess. But eh.

I guess I just like fire mages better because that's the only class I've gotten to level 70 :p

I like fire/poison mage cause they can dish out loads of damage!

I have a 32 cleric, but I'm just not into training him.

By no means is he boring though.

I/L looks fun, and I highly doubt theyre boring, and I've tried my friends F/P...

Theyre ok, but theyre all basically the same.

Well let's look at the pros and cons of each class:

FIRE/POISON
+ Highest damage of the three
+ More Fire-weak monsters in the game than Ice and Lightning combined
+ Can Poison enemies
+ Poison Mist reduces anything not Resistant/Immune to Poison or a Boss to 1 HP in 40 seconds
- No mob attack until 3rd job
- Explosion is slow

ICE/LIGHTNING
+ Mob attack in Thunderbolt during 2nd Job
+ Can Freeze enemies
- Weak attacks
- Can't freeze monsters resistant or immune to Ice

CLERIC
+ Can heal self
+ Can train in some areas without Magic Guard thanks to Invincible
+ Can increase EXP rate in 3rd job
+ Gets EXP for healing others
- Weakest of the three in terms of damage

I get tired of those easily. -_-

Anyway, I only have a Cleric.
I've played on an I/L mage and.... they're OKAY, but unless you have high Ice or lightning, you won't like it.

As for my Cleric, he's okay, but it's boring since he has hardly any friends on his BL.

I died in a pq because of ... well mostly everyone died. We made a suicide pq. xD

I assure you. When it comes to mesos ... Clerics are the best.
Damage... F/P mages. They're fun.
I/L are also useful for their freezing attacks.

Well... They're all good. ^^;;
