Since you can catch Steelix wild in DP, I doubt anyone would need to evolve one sweatdrop

It's a bitca to catch though, False Swipe isn't really effective against it (4x resistance against normal moves), and if I try to hit it with something that deals moderate damage to it, I usually end up smacking it so hard it faints.

@SuperDuperRockLee: I can help you with that Evo, we can trade it to me causing it to evolve, then trade it back.

Yeah, it took me forever to get my hands on an Onix for the reason you stated. I always kill them. I just got some weak Water-typers through the GTS though so I finally caught it.

Sleep powder and Leech seed is your friend (as is Dusk Balls...^^)

Heck yeah, I've caught all of my Legendaries and a whole heck of a lot of other Pokes with Dusk balls!

And I also need to evo my Rhydon (once he's a Rhydon XD)
