I really like these books and I just want to know what other people think about them.

I'm not sure yet what I think of book 4--it'll depend in part on how it is continued--but I think books 1-3 are the best she's written.
Tristen and Cefwyn are both engagingly vulnerable, but at the same time, it is fun to see her writing characters who have to figure out what to do with *too*much* power. Usually, it is the other way around.
Also, Tristen, besides being a good character in his own right, is in part a remaking of Frankenstein (or rather, Frankenstein's monster).

I just think Tristen is adorable and Cefwyn is incorigible. You bring up a good point about frankenstien though I have never looked at it that way. The 4th book Fortress of Dragons was just as good a read as the first three and I am going to read Fortress of Ice as soon as I can.
