Was created right after the deletion of "Adults 18 or Older" by an ignorant Moderator. The thread was only a chat thread at first. And had no banner or images. And was not yet formed into a Night Club. But it did have a Poll which helped pull in the curious. The Poll's question was: Are you an Adult 18 years or Older on Gaia?

actually no.. it still exists I saw it earlier today... and she's talking about age.. not content... some of us get sick tof chatting with 14 year olds after a while.. nothing against them.. it's just a maturity (sometimes :; thinkins of ex: smile and lifestyle difference
This is correct, there's nothing wrong with this thread.
CerinFendail was the first kind visitor to help defend my thread. And it was wonderful when Lluvia Maya the then (Dedicated Forum Moderator) came in and also vindicated the thread against Seiya Tenoh warning. It's too bad the name Seiya Tenoh was blackened in my club on the very first day.

The thread lasted about 4 days. It made around 711 pages. And it was a great accomplishment for someone who was basically a noob on Gaia. But within those humble beginnings great friends were discovered. The very first Insomniacs!

In an test I created these film strip images of the patrons who were the current regulars in the thread at the time; in an attempt to build something like a yearbook on the front page. However it soon became clear that this would take up a lot of bandwidth for image hosting. So the project ended fast. But the images created remained posted up on the front page because of how many more faces were visible then even in the Dance floor Pic.

The post above was the very first time that a closet was introduced in the club during a naughty playful moment. This imaginary closet continues to come up even today in the club when patrons are feeling playful. Shuichi13's SN later became Heart of the Fallen Angel.

Gaia's 1st Anniversary Ball 2004!
The first Anniversary Ball was so fun and exciting for me and many from the Club. We hung out every day in the club and many of us had someone to call our own. The club at one time seemed like a Love Boat. So many relationships were formed within the first few weeks. And it was great for group dates. So when the Ball came around we treated it like a Prom Night. And before the day of the Ball most of us went shopping together in the shops to buy dresses and tuxedos. It was fun shopping with Starrie18. I remember shopping with her and Noneuclid the day before.
I bought my formal wear together with Noneuclid who was my date and b/f at the time so I could match my gown to his tux. And on the day of the first ball it was like an actual Prom. I was so nervous and excited. It was so fun. And I loved that Ball! The picture above is a banner made for 2005's 2nd Anniversary. And the date of the original Ball was in fact Feb 18th 2004. However it seems that Gaia has begun moving the Anniversary around abit these years. The smaller images or the couples photos were made by me within the very hour of the Ball's start. It was fun making Couples Portraits. heart

1st Masquerade Ball! August 12-14th
It started with a concept... A thread was created in the Private Guild and Club asking if the Patrons would be interested in a Adults 18 and Older Private Masquerade Ball. User run Balls had been done before on Gaia and the idea of having one seemed difficult and uncertain at the time. But it was exciting to try and I wanted a real mature Ball. Complete with Classical Music and Formal Dress code. I've always believed in visual presentations when proposing a idea to the Club and Guild. So I had constructed the fictional Masquerade Models image above on February 20th, 2005 to help convey my idea. My idea was liked all around so I began a vigorous donation drive and began work on putting the Masquerade Ball together.
July 25th 2005 Invitations were made and finally sent out to as many Patrons of the Club in the chatterbox as I could. I even had helpers who volunteered to help me send out these invitation card to as many members of the club as possible through the PM systems as was possible for the time. However to my horror. I soon found out that many of these invites were eaten up by Gaia itself due to the outbox being completely filled beyond capacity. ~__~
Sometimes I work great under pressure. I struggled for almost all summer working on a good Image for the Ball. I wanted a Ballroom image to place our Avi's on. And it never seemed to come out just right. Until just a few days before the Ball was scheduled to begin; I came up with this 3D graphic Foyer and mini staircase leading out into an imaginary Ballroom using MS Power Point. It was made the night of August 10th, 2005. In this image can be seen myself and Squall Leonhart who was very helpful and a wonderful assistant for the weekend. He and Linkous really helped me pull the whole event together. The other ushers far in the back on either side of the main doors were purely NPC's.
I also came up with this nice header image on July 29th 2005 and placed it on the front page of the Private Guild in August. I thought it would help to influence a very formal atmosphere. And finding the very Zorro mask on the image made it perfect. As some may remember, I was very strict on the requirement of everyone wearing a Zorro Mask at the time because of how elegant it was compared to other masks on Gaia.

Interactive Game/Ball Threads Entering the Foyer
**Skip Narrative if you have been here before**
You arrive at the Masquerade Ball (w/ your date), you are (both) greeted in the Foyer by two very elegantly dressed Ushers. The first one offers to take your coat/cloak/cape and hat, but you shake your head because you intend to wear these items as apart of your outfit. He nods and smiles gently and looks to his collegue who turns to a guest book sitting ontop of a stand. The Usher looks to you (both) and asks for your name(s). Once he is told he begins to finger through the pages until he pinpoints your name(s) and nods to his collegue.
The collegue then bows politely to you (and your date) and turns toward the main part of the Foyer where many were gathering and joyfully conversing already. Everyone wore a black mask covering their eyes. But they were all dressed in lavish glamour and elegance and you began to wonder if you looked good too. As you glance quickly over your wardrobe (and that of your date) you silently sigh with relief seeing that you were both appropriately dressed and this was definately going to be a fantastic event. The Usher who had turned to face the crowd in the room suddenly bursted out with a loud heralding voice declaring your full "name" (and that of your date).
You feel alittle embarrasment but brush it aside standing with pride as everyone seemed to turn to look toward you (and your date) and nodded or waved in a gesture of welcome. If you weren't mistaken some even seemed to wink and flash a flirty smile from behind those mysterious looking masks. Many looked you over and clearly were admiring your presence as you began to walk down the steps (w/ your date along side) into the main part of the room to browse amongst the guests. You started to recognize some of the guests and they were saying hello to you as you passed and some came over and greeted you with a playful hug.
Some voices around you were saying; "Wow, You look really good!" and "Are you going to save a dance for me?" You can't stop blushing and laughing softly to yourself as you (look to your date and) straighten your outfit to make sure it was all in one piece still. You look around checking out the place and spot several doorways in the area drapped with beautiful curtains. You didn't immediately see any signs outside of these doorways telling you were they lead to. You decide to do alittle investigating just to get a feel for the place. So you mutter to your friends; "We'll be right back k?"
(Your Date looks to you puzzeled as you whisper to him/her ;"Let's check this place out k?" He/She smiles flirtingly and their eyes seemed to glitter behind their mask and they agree to go along with you on a little adventure.) You (both) begin to walk around the area becoming crowded with guests as you make your way to the closest doorway that was covered with a curtain. You scan the hall before deciding to enter and spot another 4 other doorways nearby. All of them curtained too. And you knew these were not the entrance to the main Ballroom, because the Main Ballroom had huge doors already propped open that you spotted when you walked in across the Foyer from the Main Entrance.
(Your Date seemed to be curious too now as to where these doorways lead too and he/she looks to you and says; "Shall we see?")
Do you?
(A) Go in the first of the doorways?
(B) Choose Doorway 2
(C) Choose Doorway 3
(D) Choose Doorway 4
(E) Choose not to, it might be for staff only. Decide to stick around in the Foyer to see who else shows up.
(F) Give up your curiousness and decide to just go to the Main Ballroom now...
I've always liked the interactive game books and other story based adventure games online. So I decided to add one to the Ball. It was kind of extensive. And was made to add some extra fun to the Ball for those attending. One of the requested things I asked people to bring along was a "date". Just because Balls are always best when you have someone to snuggle up with and the adventure game was made for couples to enjoy their time together. Many did come stag which was a bit of downer.
The King and Queen of the Ball!
Like real life Balls and Dances I decided to have a Contest to find the King and Queen of the Ball. It wasn't based on just who was the best dressed. It was over all the most favored to win the titled. And after cleverly making many anonymous voting Polls it was finally found that the winners were: King acemarch, Queen Guardian of Fire 666 with runners up: Prince Oniknowsyou! and Princess Crystalblue Angeleyes.
Winnings

Princess won 20,000gg
Over all the weekend was one to be remembered. Complete with real music and fun times for the Patrons of the Club to meet up once more.

The 2nd Masquerade Ball for August 12-13th 2006
The 2nd Masquerade Ball in 2006 was sadly never to be.. I was discouraged to throw another one after several similar large parties in the guild previously failed to bring in the crowds or the donations. Fearing that the 2nd Masquerade Ball would be a flop I delayed and delayed in preparing until there was no more time to set it up. And sadly it was cancelled and those who donated received refunds.

Halloween 2K6 Masquerade Ball
To make up for the cancellation of the 2nd Masquerade Ball in August I came up with a Devil's Night Masquerade Ball. It was set on Devil's Night which traditionally falls on October 30th; the night before Halloween. And instead of having a King and Queen Contest I had a Costume Contest fitting the Halloween Costume theme. The winner OoChIcKeNoO won 100,000gg. Which was much more then what the first Ball offered for a single winner. I was a little intimidated to use wickedly spooky images like the devil below but during Halloween time, I figured we all need to have a little fun being spooked.
