Actually guys, by definition, MCR is emo. Emo is just a pun off of Emotional and when used in context with a noun it suggests/describes a few things about that noun. And techniqucally, saying yes to any of the below makes it emo. Bolded ones apply to MCR
1. Melodramtic emotions, lyrics and behaviors
2. Monotonous (sp?) behavior, themes, liftestyle and/or thinking. (sorta)
3. Inculding, supporting, exibiting and regular theme(s) with (some of) the stereotypical colors for emos and sometimes goths- blacks, whites, reds, purples and/or multi-colored striped paterns
4. Typical cutter/self-mutilator (sp?)
5. Clothes inculding: the emo hair swish, multi-colored striped patterns on clothes (typically knee high socks, gloves and arm gloves), typical lolita clothing-mostly the skirts- drainpipes, studded belts, black nail polish, eyeliner, face patterns (similar to Ryan Ross's) etc
6. Being or liking Whiney Boy Bands
There are many other things but, the point remain, MCR DOES QUALIFY AS EMO!
And being emo isn't bad!
P.S. I saw the news clip long ago and I find it hysterical. It should be interesting to watch the up coming adult vs teen war on this.

i, myself dont consider mcr "emo" whether it qualifies or not.... and for those stupid assholes to say that is retarded.... but they can think what they want, i guess.. stare
