my great granny got pancryatic cancer [sorry i got bad spelling] she was to old for a high amount of ceemo and some intence surgerys, so after trying as hard as the docture could it was up to granny to live. she lived for a few months after she was told she had cancer. i saw her about 20 minutes after she died. she was pale, her mouth was open, her finger tips had started to its color, they had turned brown. and her eye were looking up at the top of the door way. like she was trying to look at me when i stood at the door way.... if we hadnt had stoped for so long to eat on the way to her house maybe i would have got to see her. i live in texas she lived in oklahoma. that was a month before i started highschool. and know i just got out of freshmen year. so its been about a year now, but i still lay at home at night thinking about her. i should have spent more time with her. i should have told her i loved her more. i miss her so bad just typing this made me cry sob a little...

My uncle passed away because of cancer.. It was in his liver and they couldnt do anything about it.. they did chemo and everything but it wouldnt be enough for him to live.. He was the nicest uncle who lived nearby and now my aunt is afraid to sleep by herself. For the first couple of days my cousin had to sleep with my aunt to comfort her. It was a lot for my cousin to do. But my aunt healed[not physically] and restored the family. Actually, it was only my aunt and her daughter[my cousin] left. My other cousin[a boy] got married and lives in florida but he checks up on my aunt every night. beofre my uncle died..he said not to worry because he saw an angel and that he was going to be alright..that he was going to heaven.. I didnt want him to go yet but it was better for him not to feel the pain anymore.. Having cancer effect your family isnt most definately not nice.

My godfather smoked a lot. When he learned that he had lung cancer, he took a gun out of his drawer and shot himself. Wish I could've met him.

Well, I've had several cancer-related deaths of people I care about.
My grandmother died about 5 years ago of breast cancer..but I really didn't get to know her much, honestly.
I had a really close family friend of ours die of Urterus cancer in February..
But the most painful experience, is when my favorite cousin, Janice, died. She was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was 10, and died at age 12.
The worst part is...No one told me she had cancer. We were so close, practically best friends, so my parents didn't want to break my heart just yet..they thought she was getting better..
So i slowly started noticing her acting differently. She would get sick easier, and never felt too well. Sometimes she would have to stay in the hospital because of a small cold.
Then she started chemo. It took about 2 months for all her hair to fall out, but by then, my parents HAD to tell me. Janice did pretty well with it through the most part, and at some points they thought she would recover. They couldn't be more wrong.
Things got extremely worse about half a month before her death, and I wasnt allowed to visit her anymore because of it.
Luckily, I got to see her a week before she died. She was really tired, but was really nice as usual.
Her death was expected to come anytime, and it did. I totally wasn't expecting it, which sucked. BIG.
This was 4 years ago, so I'm doing much better now, but I still miss her.
I guess the worst and best part was the funeral. It's the time where you really have to say your final goodbye, and know for yourself and to yourself that they're gone. It made me just die inside, seeing my beautiful cousin dead in a casket. But I also finally moved on. I finally knew to myself that she was really gone, I had finally realized and accepted that Janice wasn't coming back.
Cancer sucks...but it happens.
RIP Janice.. and every other person in the world who has suffered cancer.
