Update! Haha waist is too long/skinny. Left shoulder's off.
Couldn't make an expression that went w/ his face, so I went with a smirk. :c Still looks slightly awkward. Baaaah.

You really need to learn the shape of the skeleton. Even if you keep it simple, you'll realize that your ribcage shouldn't be smaller than your head. It really helps you keep things looking more natural and possible.

For sketch 2, things diminish as they move away. Her arm that is moving away from the viewer should look like it's getting farther, so the hand would be smaller.

New piece! sad could use tips on how to color fabric and making cloth look actually like cloths w/o having to rely on textures... [right now I feel like it looks like she's encased in saran[sp?] warp]

There are some minor areas that could use some structure and volume, but overall it looks pretty good.

Try to check out actual wings. There are different types of feathers that serve different functions and have much different shapes and textures. I forget what they're called, but the long, strong feathers that make flight possible are missing and are the ones that people think of when they think "wings".
