Domestic violence in the 22,23 and 24th centuries?

So are there any episodes or Trek that deal with this issue? I'm currently writing a fic where Spock discovers that an ensign is being abused by his (male) partner. Was this difficult issue ever brought up in the star trek universe and if not do you think it needs to be?

I think there might have been some domestic violence in Star Trek, but not in a 'OMG HE HIT HER WIFE' kinda way. More like, self defence over a partner who is being controlled by an alien race or something.

well a lot of the guys her troi liked ended up being evil and abusing her in some sort of way. like with their mental abilities and whatnot...

I recall an episode from TOS, but it wasnt domestic abuse.

A false Kirk raped an ensign, and another ensign slapped the same femal on the butt. ((Though the butt slapping was in a later episode.))

I've never seen/heard of any, but go for the fanfic! I actually had an idea for one that involved suspected abuse, but it was just rough sex xd Lots of places you can take bruises when you ship Paris/Torres...
