Any one seen Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When cicada's cry) AKA Higurashi?

It's a horror/ mystery anime that features like 5 cute little girls and a guy that snap and go insane and kill people....it's an interesting anime...tho very bizzar

I bought the first volume of the DVD, but I haven't watched it yet. it's on my ever-growing pile that I need to catch up on. I almost don't want to watch it though, with Geneon no longer releasing the rest of the series. =( I'd hate to start watching and then stop in the middle. ~m

its When They Cry, not When Cicadas Cry. and ive seen the first four episodes. was scared into not sleeping that night. and theres like 7 or 8 girls, not 5. theres just 5 in the beginning.

I saw it and I liked it. It was very creepy and suspenseful. The first two or so episodes are the worst because they're just introducing the characters. I dropped it when I first saw it and then picked it back up again! It's really suspenseful. I just don't really like "Kai", the second series. If you liked Higurashi, you might like Monster.
