New to town

"Random thought really." Was her barely thought out answer, her mind elsewhere clearly, "Thanks."

"You're welcome," Mike responded, bemused.

She gave a rare bright smile before wandering off to go help someone or something, eh, either way she was doing the whole waitressing job well so did it matter what order she did things? She even remember to hit up Adam's table again, "Refills?"

Duncan looked at Methos, who shook his head. "We're fine," the Scot said, "thank you. You can bring the check whenever you get a chance. No hurry."

She gave a simple nod as an answer then wandered to a table that was flagging for her, oh she'd get their check when she was able to, sure, didn't matter to her, she was starting to get bored again though, which got her to phase out and not pay attention.

Joe came limping out of his office, smiled to see that everything was under control, then made his way to the bar. "Scotch, Mike," he said, then expertly made his way to Mac and Adam's table drink in one hand cane in the other.

Which of course with her luck was the time she was able to get around to drop off their check, barely pausing though at seeing Joe at the table, possibly not giving a s**t about the fact. She did stop long enough to collect Adam's dishes from his meal and whatever else trash, still not really paying attention to them or anything around her. Given that she had to lean slightly to get the dishes it was noticeable she was armed, never went anywhere otherwise, inner pants holster, no need to freak people out basically. By the time she went to wander off her brain clicked that Joe was there and she gave a small smile to him, clearly kinder to him then the two immortals.

Joe smiled back at Kali while Methos made himself small until she passed on by. Joe pulled up a chair and sat as Duncan said, "Evening, Joe."

"MacLeod," Joe nodded.

"I guess no one here minds that the new barmaid is packing, right?" Methos groused sarcastically, clearly pouting.

Kali seemed genially amused by Adam's actions not that she gave pause at it, dropping off the dishes in the bus-pan. "So Mikey," She had a thing with assigning 'pet' names to people, "Still bored." Didn't matter that the place was pretty much full by this time, mainly it was refills, nothing big which apparently she considered boring. She was keeping up with all of it with ease though, multitasking never was hard to her, that was half the reason she was always bored.

 

[Immortal Methos]

"Sorry 'bout that," Mike said, busy mixing another drink. He pulled a basket of hot fries out from under the heat lamp and set them in front of her. "Here. Take a break."

At Joe's questioning look, MacLeod shrugged. "Adam seems to be expecting her to explode with deadly force."

"I'm old and wise," Methos nodded. "You should listen to me occasionally."

That pulled a grin from her and she took the basket happily, "Thanks sweets, much happiness." she already pulled a fry to nibble on, leaning against the bar a moment in a short moment of bliss.
