A bit of a problem.

I am in the need of a spell. It use would be to remove a spirit from a friend that has intertwined into her being. But, I need to remove it in such a way that it would not ruin her personality, which we belive would be effected, because it is so intertwined with her. Any tips would be welcome as well.

First. How did it become intertwined? What did she do to let the spirit connect with her?

Second. Are you thinking she is posessed by a spirit? And if so, why?

1 : It just kinda latched onto her, and she didn't fight it.

2 : It will control her at times, and effect her actions.

Has she talked to a doctor, first of all? Or a psychologist? I don't doubt that your friend is troubled by this situation, but there could be numerous mundane and physical causes behind this. No need to assume it's a spirit. Not to be snide but I'm a big fan of mundane first. For a whole boatload of discussion on this EXACT TOPIC, check out this link. Also note that "owl_clan," also known as "Robin Artisson," is a registered idjit and troll. Take what he says with a grain of salt.

Only if the mundane avenues are explored would I consider her possibly possessed and in need of magical aid.

In any case, if you're going the magical route, I would suggest not focusing on REMOVING the other spirit, but rather bolstering your friend's own strength of will (or Will) power. I think that will be the safest way and will be the most beneficial for her in the long run.
