M first show was my friends band opening for my own at a local place, damn i was hooked. they covered The specials "Ghost Town", Planet Smashers "Blind", and The Toasters "freedom", and one of their own catchy little songs
i went to go see cracktoerfest, kind of a ska show, but more of a punk show of what i could hear, they wouldnt let ppl in even though the venue wasnt full, people got so pissed, waiting several hours only to get turned away a few spots behind in line from being let in.

My First Ska show was 30 Cents Sharp (A local band, now broke up.) and The Taj Motel Trio.
it was fantastic. I'd never seen anything like it before. From the way everybody was skanking and the way the band moved, the whole building rattled and shaked.
I've been addicted since then. Probably two years ago.
Sadly, my area has more of a hardcore scene, so very few Ska bands around.
